Can't seem to incentivize buyers to move to a buyers list

Does anyone have any tips for this? I have made a few sales over the past couple of weeks as an affiliate of Clickbank and Amazon products but I can't seem to find out who these buyers are to move them from my prospects list to a buyers list. I've tried the following tactics so far...

1) Offering a bonus. I ask subscribers who buy a product to e-mail me with the transaction ID/receipt number and I then send them a free bonus, which they will receive via another opt-in form to move them to my 'buyers list'. From a couple of surveys I have sent my list, I am sure this bonus is useful to them.

Anyway, if you have decided to purchase a product, why wouldn't you want something extra for free? I must be doing something wrong here.

2) I've tried informing them to let me know if they purchase a product, so I can send them more relevant e-mails and not recommend the same product to them again. An honest approach, which has failed to get any response from my subscribers

Any suggestions? I am offering good value to my subscribers and sometimes I get e-mails from them telling me so. My open rates are good and I don't get many unsubscribers at all.

Those of you who do promote Clickbank and Amazon products through a list, do you find most subscribers don't let you know if they buy something?

Using an incentivizing offer is effective, but you seem to be putting your buyers through unneccesarry hoops to receive their bonus. Assuming your bonus offers are compelling and relevant, put the bonus offer and opt-in form on your product sales page. In the opt-in form, add a required field labled something like "receipt" or "transaction number".

In your email promotions give them instructions on how to retrieve their bonus after a purchase. Use the receipt/transaction number to cross-reference affiliate sales with your list. For CB products, this process can be automated using cblistautomator.com, but automating Amazon transactions requires activating list management features through your autoresponder, or perhaps another commercial solution. Most of the popular ar providers have instructions or help desk for setting this up.

Thanks for your reply to my post. I've tried putting up an opt-in form on my product sales page with a receipt number as a required field. However, this doesn't seem to work as I've already had a few subscribers put in random numbers to just get the bonus! Does CBListAutomator get around this problem by ensuring the receipt number is genuine? Or is there a free way?

CBListAutomator confirms the transaction automatically through Clickbank's IPN before delivering the bonus. If there is not a match, the bonus is not delivered. CBListAutomator will also optionally notify you by email of every sale.

This is really difficult especially when you are making sells from affiliate networks. This task of moving people to your buyer's list will be much easier when you start selling your own products to your list.
