I need online marketing strategy

If you own a website the next thing you should be thing of is how to drive traffic to your site.

Your business plan should include how to manage and deliver your services efficiently, having a short and long term goal, how to achieve them, your marketing plans whether online or offline.

In terms of marketing plan these is what you can do:

1. Get traffic from SEO, forums, blogs, paid ads like PPC, email marketing, social media e.t.c.

2. Be professional and stick to your guns.

If you're into web application development, you're in the perfect niche to make a KILLING through membership sites. If you can develop a killer application that people MUST use to make their lives so much easier, you can charge a ridiculous membership fee for it.

Look into membership sites mate.

I wouldn't get to hung up on what to call each part of your planning. Basically, you need to do the following:

- Identify and learn about your target market
- Create your Unique Selling Proposition (why should people buy from you)
- Identify your strategies for getting in front of your market and converting them to buyers
- Set your goals and action steps for implementing your strategies
- Do it!
- Monitor your progress and adjust as necessary

Call all of these whatever you want, but don't miss any of them.

This is a trial and error and takes a long time but surely you will get a lot of traffic.

Moreover, you best traffic is to target your local community first and start your marketing plan as offline marketing and then move on to online marketing to get more and drive traffic.

Online marketing scheme
a) Add targated twitter followers and keep tweeting about your services offered.
b) Facebook add business and people that you think is of good use.
c) Make a linkedin profile add your services and tons of other sites where you can offer.
d) registers yourself in freelancer, odesk and other places and start offering your services.
e) Become a registered and active member of several community from wheer you can actually drive traffic using your signature and profile links.
