Where To Get Affiliates In The Weight Loss/Fitness Niche

Hi guys,

I have a product that I hope will be finished in the next couple of weeks in the weight loss/fitness niche and was wondering where do you think are the best places to find affiliates and jv partners in this niche?

Also where you think the best places to advertise would be?

Your help is really appreciated

James

You could put an ad up on McDonald's and Subway's websites.

    Okay - just kidding.
I'd try the social markets like facebook, twitter, etc - and get a blog going. If you are going to pay for advertising there's a million websites you can post an ad to cheaply. Just have to research their demographics and pick one or two of them.

    Hi James,

This may sound kind of obvious but if your Sales Page converts OK, adding Clickbank as a vendor will attract affiliates.

Also, the best guide I've ever read on the topic of affiliate recruitment and management was by Jimmy D Brown, called something like Sales A.R.M.Y. Not sure if it's still for sale but worth chasing.

    Good luck with the project.

Before you start looking for affiliates you need to have something to entice them to promote for you.

Sure, there are many n00b affiliates out there who will try to promote you as long as you have a spiffy salespage and good graphics...

But if you want to attract the guys who run real traffic you need solid conversion data and an well fleshed out affiliate resource area.

These two things will make your affiliate recruitment efforts extremely easy and attract some big fish to help you move tons of units.

I've never seen anyone do it better than this guy:

DUBturbo - Beat Maker Software. Make Pro Rap, Hiphop, House, Techno + Beats Fast & Easy, 1000's of samples, 16 tracks, pads, keys, fx, Mix & Master/Export Studio Quality All-In-One!

He has hard data, a proven gravity track record, and many ready made resources available.

Something like this is like crack laced candy to a super affiliate.

After you do that, hit the places affiliates hang out and post ads about your program there.

Paul nailed it - put together a well positioned product, get some early testimonials and proof, have a great sales letter and pay attention to your launch sequence (your affiliate tools) before you do anything. After that, you can proactively go after some of the large list owners/bloggers in your niche, then, if you have the conversions, they will come to you.

Of all of this, the sales letter is most crucial. You have to convert or you will sputter out no matter how many affiliates you attract.
