Is it still wise to submit the same article to different directories?

I'm wondering about the following.

I use Ezinearticles.com to submit articles to with backlinks to my money site.

Is it still useful to add these exact same articles to other article sites like GoArticles, ArticleBase, ArticleDashboard etc?

Or is this bad because of all the recent Google Updates?

Do you want to share your experiences regarding this.

Thanks a Lot,

Isaan

Try to reduce the duplicate and the best is no duplicate to stay safe. Because you might not get into trouble because your site is high PR and still in trust range of Google.

Google already less giving weight article from enzine cause of lot of duplicate and poor quality content . Stay safe, build quality and unique content .
You can try spin your article and submit to others. Or change some different keywords to phrase keywords maybe.

I've stopped syndicating content via these properties (GoArticles, EZ etc) since April 2012.

At the time, it seemed like their link juice had been drained because of the Google updates. In any case, I haven't noticed any negatives from stopping.

Right now I'm focusing on creating higher quality content for my main blog, rather than mediocre/low content for article directories. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will prevail in the long term.

But, I'm open to doing it again if others are still having success!

I would strongly advice that you don't send the same article to different directories. Rewrite it first. In fact, the best way to rewrite is to get an expert author (like me to rewrite it for you. A human rewrite will always do a great job with both humans and search engiens.

Focus on article directories (if you must really) for human traffic only NOT SEO.

You can find way better backlinks more easily than article directories (which Google hates):

Don't use it for backlinks. Instead, use it for BRANDING. Two totally different concepts. They don't cancel each other. As Google continues to tighten the screws, branding is looking like it will win out in the long run.

Submitting the same article to several directories is what is called syndication and its not a crime. However, a few directories like articlebase will require you use article that you haven't published anywhere, it's a new law they mad after panda.

For humans, it is still better to make each copy unique.

I don't focus on Google organic traffic, but even if I did, I wouldn't depend on article directories for my backlinks. As the users above me said, you can use them for branding, and to get human traffic when webmasters post your articles on their sites. Other than that, I don't think you can use them for much else.

So do I (after everything else I've done with the articles). Because I want publishers of ezines and webmasters with relevant niche sites to be able to find them there (and EZA is where such people look) and re-publish them on their own sites, which have the pre-targeted traffic I want to attract to my own site (this is the sole effective purpose of article directories, really)..

For all the reasons explained in this post, no article marketer would want their potential customer traffic finding their articles in an article directory rather than finding the copy originally published and indexed on their own site.

And it's a real mistake to submit to an article directory any articles not previously published and indexed on your own site, for all the reasons explained in such detail in this thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

There's no great harm in it, but in my experience there's really very little additional benefit from using other directories in addition to EZA. In my four-year-old, 8-niche business as an article marketer, I'd say the benefits from using EZA have been at least 99% of the "article directory benefits" I've ever had, and the other directories I've ever used, all added together, only 1% (if that).

I don't know anyone who thinks that using a couple of other directories will be a problem, regarding the recent Google updates. But doing mass/automated submission to multiple article directories is definitely very high-risk (as well as being without benefits anyway).

There's no sense at all in trying to use article directories for SEO/backlinking purposes, as explained here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

Note that multiple copies of identical articles on different websites are not duplicate content: they're syndicated content. The difference is explained here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7443850

I'd say its okay as long as you rewrite them.

I think you better off using Web 2.0 blog sites like squidoo, weebly, jigsy and moonfruit etc. You can keep adding content to them in future if you want to.

All the successful, experienced, professional article marketers I know say the exact opposite, Adam: that it's ok only if you don't re-write them. That's my experience, too, having tried this both ways.

There's an overview of the main reasons for that being their experience, and their policy, in this little thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

And there are further explanations from many more of them, explaining in detail all their shared reasons for never submitting "unique/re-written content" to any article directory, scattered about in this very much longer thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html

Again, I think the exact opposite. Sorry. I do appreciate that your minority, dissenting opinion isn't an unknown one among people promoting spinning software/services in their signature-files, but people have to decide for themselves whether they wish to get their information and guidance from people earning money from promoting products/services to article marketers, or from people actually earning their livings from doing article marketing themselves.

submit article to article directories still can be useful if you use quality and unique article for every directory. And try to avoid those directories who are approve article automatically. Google will rank those site who has editor in their site.
