Have you ever punked the punks?

Hello,
I have had an onslaught of Ugg pushin Russians on my forum, and I have turned the negative into a positive. Instead of getting mad, I activated the accounts, then ban them. That way, my member count will go up, and spammers are gone! Have any of yous done this?

    It's probably bots, and would highly recommend you use botscout and similar free services to shut them down.

    Inactive members won't help you out... Like dvduval said, get some anti-spam plugin. I'm assuming you're using something like mybb?

      There are lots of products on the market that bypass Captchas.

      Captchas do nothing. There are a lot of services like deathbycaptcha that can bypass captchas for very cheap. Good luck

    my forum requires my approval, but so far I am just activating, then banning them (if they are repeat offender's emails)
