My First Fiverr Experiance

I have gotten a really good header design from Fiverr. I was impressed for $5 too. I have never went there for backlinks or whatever else is there in relation to internet marketing.

The ones that weren't related to productivity or helping the business.

Seriously, anyone who expects quality out of $5 is seriously delusional, cheap or clearly has a different definition of quality than what I do. I'm glad people keep going there though, it keeps the extremely cheap clients away from me... no more of those days please.

This is not a question of quality in all honesty. I am just asking what gigs people seem to like and what kind of end product they got.

You dont need to have a brain to work out $5 is not going to get you amazing work, but for $5 I got a pretty decent website header.

Why spend more than $5 when its not needed?

I have gotten many jobs done at fiverr; headers, facebook covers, website backgrounds, etc. I am impress with the end results for just $5. I think the quality has a lot to do with how clear the instructions you give to the person.

Jack,

Not knocking Fiverr (I've had a couple of good results from people there) but if you're going to buy any kind of graphic artwork make sure you provide the base image.

For $4 the gig provider is unlikely to have an extended licence for stock photos and Getty Images is currently making a fortune from unsuspecting webmasters who used unlicensed graphics.

I have to say it's a bit of a lottery, however it depends on the type of Gigg, I tried 2 or 3 backlinking and Citations, even with tons of positive feedback they produced nothing in terms of increased traffic. In contrast I used Fiverr for video intros and more basic things and they've been fine. I reckon some people have Champagne tastes and want to pay Cola prices. It's a god-send for people just starting out on both the buyer and sellers side, as with all on-line purchases theres an element of risk, my 1st WSO purchase wasn't as expected, that isn't to say I never bought any more...

The only services from fiverr that are "safe" in terms of IM is banner, logo designs and that is it, I would strongly recommend you not to buy any links from there because 99% of the time it would just damage your site.

Yea I would never buy SEO from fiverr, but the graphics are good for the money, especially for multiple sites

Ive had very good experiences with fiverr as well. Ive used it mainly to get web graphics designed and all my designs have came out pretty good. Another good Fiverr gig to buy is if you use dropbox, there are people on their that will increase your storage for $5 bucks.

The first ever gig I bought on fiverr was a "advertise you message or whatever on my facebook page with a gazilion friends" kind. I took the top selling gig from its group and honestly, did not get any result. I'm a seller on fiverr (with a different name back then) and the advert was actually for my fiverr gig.

I know that there are some gold nuggets there somewhere but also a lot of crap. I guess you just need to be careful at selecting which gigs to take. I'm still on there, and I do vector graphics. I would want to expand the services I offer but I just can't wrap my head around how I can reduce the work I want to offer to fit $4 and still provide decent results. Regarding banners, header and similar graphics design jobs, I think its currently over saturated and its very hard to get noticed, much less get the first order.

I just ordered a backlink service from fiver. I read all the warnings against it, but sheer desperation made me do it.

It seems like a good deal - I didn't go for those "thousands of backlinks!" offers, just for a more conservative 15 or so backlinks to SBM sites.

I'm also thinking about shelling over another $5 for some contextual backlinks. Anyone tried this?

I was struggling to get my book uploaded onto Kindle and especially the table of contents and other formatting problems I was having. I sent a guy on fiverr my book on Word and he sent a file back a half hour later and it was perfect. All I had to do was upload onto Fiverr. The frustration and time saved was well worth $5.

As a writer I do recognize quality, and I found a very good writer on Fiverr. True I did have to go through some poor quality gigs first. Plus my other half who is a very good graphic designer uses Fiverr to get her business noticed and I can vouch for her quality. So I disagree with those who say you get what you pay for.
That said, there are some sellers producing poor quality as well.

Sam Cornwell does an amazing funny video on anything you want. He's British and has a great accent. Costs $5 plus $5 tip. I've gotten two of them from him. Love it.

So I decided to take the plunge with Fiverr and see what kind of quality I would get back and how fast.

$5 seemed more like a bit of fun rather than anything else. So I decided to get a header made for a site im working on.

I ordered at half 8 in the morning and left him with instructions

at 1:15 the work was done and in my inbox! Obviously you are not going to get amazing graphics for $5 but it did go beyond my expectations, really good bit of work and fast turn around for 5 bucks. I will be using the same guy again, now I have more trust in Fiverr

What kind of experiences have you had with Fiverr. What gigs do you keep going back for more?

I ordered a header for a site on Fiverr too, seller delivered in under 1hr. He hadn't followed my instructions and had made mistakes, messaged them and asked to fix. They promised they would sort it out soon, never got back to me. Bad review was left, still never fixed.

I have had both good and bad experiences from Fiverr. I don't expect much to be honest when ordering graphics but the best results came from video intros or ebook covers

I find a lot of value from graphics in particular, caricatures will make a great Christmas present. I've also used fiverr for fixing wordpress issue but had a terrible experience, the guy just carelessly wipe out the existing code and slung a new template over it.

I'm a big fan of Fiverr; I've bought graphics, videos, articles and SEO gigs in the past. As with anything it's a little bit trial and error in that you have to try sellers out and build a list of reliable sellers, but when you find a gem they're worth their weight in gold. Some of the quality I've had delivered for $5 has been impressive.
