Default Follow-up to SitePoint ebook Appeal

I mentioned in this Forum the offer by Sitepoint for 4 of their ebooks (Site Design topics) for the price of one during the Bushfire ASppeal in Australia in February while it was current.

"SitePoint's General Manager, Luke Cuthbertson, reported, the sale raised an amazing A$315,231.67 to help those affected by the Victorian bushfires in February".

Interesting side-note for those who have seen people complaining about WSO's closed before they got around to buying was that SitePoint was abused by many who missed the deal when they had to close it early.

The reason was because they were close to raising more money than Australian Law permitted without a permit which would have taken weeks to obtain. That did not stop the complaints though.

The whole deal was audited by Price Waterhouse who, according to SitePoint, did not charge for doing that.

Christmas is over but keep on smiling. It will either amuse them or confuse them!

Oops, time for a new Sig!
