Can't post Amazon reviews from where I am, low sales, please advise...

Hi all,

I have published some books on all the Amazon sites (US...UK...FR...) but I'm based in Singapore, where we can't purchase the Kindle books.

This is a problem for me as my family and friends can't download and post their reviews, which I understand is very important for Amazon ranking.

Short of asking them to install VPN software (too troublesome for them!), is there any other way for them to conveniently download and post reviews?

Appreciate any advise, thanks!

      Hi John,

I don't think there's an easy solution. Are you in the Page One Profits Facebook group (I thought I saw a similar post)? If you are you can try posting your book there for reviews.

Let us know if you discover any solutions, I'm sure there are others in your same situation.

Aren't there web based proxies available so they wouldn't need to download VPN software?

Amazon has recently purged thousands of relative and friends reviews from self-punished Indie titles .

In fact, such reviews written by those who have a financial stake in the ebook are against Amazon's terms of use.

Some authors have been tossed off for abusing the review process. Thank God.

If you want to write a good book and publish it on Kindle do so.

If it is good, people will buy it and review it.

Amazon sends emails to those who purchase e-books and solicits real reviews.

But the days of ginning up you book with bogus reviews from friends and relatives is over.
