Domain Name has No Control Panel

Hi guys, I have a client whose domain name is hosted under a company. I can't get him to change the Nameservers because the host says there is no control panel for the domain? So, how do I go about changing the Nameservers?

Why not just modify the DNS on his registrar (i.e. GoDaddy, Namecheap) and simply change the A NAME records to point at his hosted account's IP address?

Or am I missing something here?

Some registrars don't allow you access to the ANAME and CNAME records. For instance, if you want to point a domain to a Blogger site, you won't be able to. They'll force you to pay another $35 a month for DNS hosting which is bullshit. That's why I stick to the big name registrars like NameCheap.

You missed my point - just do the redirect on your REGISTRAR control panel, not on the host. Forget the name servers, just modify the existing DNS records to point to the new host. All you need to know is the IP address.

The registrar is the one that says there is no control panel. Sorry for the confusion. I can't seem to have access or am not sure how to go about changing the Nameservers if there is no control panel on the registrar ...

PM me the domain name when you have a chance and I'll see what I can find out (I'm assuming you don't to post it publicly).

Did your client buy the domain from the hosting company or did he bought it from a domain registrar?

Hosting and domain registrar are very different.
Just find this info from your client.

If it is from the domain registrar, just login to the domain registrar webpage to change the DNS.

Ever notice that people who spend money on WSO, memberships and courses, are always complaining about being broke and not making any money ?

They should have bought ASSETS instead.
