Traffic jumps

Hi,
Does anyone who is monitoring the site traffic noticed some traffic movement during the holiday time? Like some traffic got up or down? As I have noticed the traffic drop of about 20% during this year holiday. My site is not so much related to holidays or Christmas so was wondering if this only me

    I see small spikes and valleys before holidays, often I get some spikes in the days leading up to Christmas and its a bit down on Christmas because everyone is off their computers. Especially because I do special promos ending right before Christmas which helps drive traffic, then I leave them alone until after Christmas and repeat for New Years. People like special holiday offers, but don't particularly care to be bothered on the holiday itself.

    Around the holidays and especially during the holidays, the traffic does drop, at least on my site. People are less inclined to spend their time on the web and more with their friends and families.
