How to check if my ARTICLE has been STOLEN?

I'm looking into hiring a content-writer, and I like to know if there is any great site out there that checks the article to see if it has been copied from somewhere else?

I know about Copyscape.com, but it only checks if the website's own content has been stolen.

I want to paste and check the entire article, not just a site, to see if it has been taken from other sources out there.

    I grab a couple of sentences that appear that they should be unique and run them through Google.

    Over several years, I have learned that your target search query should be 6-8 words inside of quotes. The higher the number, the less likely of a false positive.

      There are tons of duplicate checkers *online and software, just search google for it. I bet you'll see a few free ones too.

    I think you are confused on Copyscape. It WILL check an article to see if it has been plagerized from another site. That is exactly what it is designed to do.

    Another thing to do is check the top articles in Ezine Articles to see if the content was rewritten from there.

    Copyscape offers a paid version where you just copy-paste the text from the article and it returns any results.
    Also, if you want to avoid that, what you could do is create a free blogger.com blog and upload that article there. Then check the page, and delete the blog post.
