I'd like to get some critiques on my blog

I wondered if I can get some critiques on my blog and some ideas for driving traffic to my blog as well. I am thinking about changing themes to set it up better. This is not a sales pitch, so please don't read that into it. I am honestly asking for some professional opinions from this forum.

Thanks guys.

    G'day smoor2012,

First impressions? Not bad. I think the red background is a little hard on the eyes. I presume you've done your research on the keywords used in the header for your pages?

I don't like how in your sidebar, if you could call it that, ads and videos escape their containers to the right. Looks dirty. Honestly? I'd go for another theme. I think you can do much better than this one.

    All the best,
    Harvey

Sorry but the bright red background has got to go. It's too hard to focus on anything else. Maybe try a light gray or something.

Also, if you are promoting Beachbody products, you may want to consider some stock photos of people exercising. That way people will instantly know what your site is about. You could maybe use them as featured images on each of your blog posts.

very slow loading time. I would think about getting a better hosting company down the line.

I think your right, a new theme would look good. i would also avoid using bright colors like red and blue. Those cause people to leave the websites faster than more neutral colors.

I like the concept of the website, p90x. But, I do not think your domain name matches what your content is about.

I also suggest creating a TON of videos of yourself, talking about p90x working out, or anything and everything.

Since this website is about yourself, you can do a lot of response videos to popular videos. This will get you hits, and a lot more attention.

I hope this helps, and I hope I was not too tough on your website. Keep it up and work hard everyday, and you can start making some extra money rather quickly!

I'd definitely look into changing the colour theme. A grey colour is a lot easier on the eye and also you need to play around with the video dimensions you have in the sidebar on the right.

In my opinion if the blog doesn't look that well put together and unprofessional then it will reflect badly on you as its owner. People are less likely to take seriously the content of which you are talking about and so in turn you will get less conversions on your affiliate links etc.

This theme is very narrow in width and the red background is eye watering. There are lots and lots of free themes which you could use to better effect. Here are a couple which I really like:
    Learner Free WordPress Theme
EvoLve WordPress Theme - Free Premium WordPress Themes - Theme4Press
    Flexibility Theme for WordPress

  • The overall design is not that great. You might want to switch to a different design.
The solid red color makes me want to leave the website as soon as possible. The lack of a banner/header makes me uncomfortable, and I have to second guess what this blog has to offer. The navigation buttons are not aesthetically pleasing, and looks as if it was just set aside in a corner of your page. Lastly, the lapsed advertisements and videos on the sidebar must be fixed.

I'll give the overall design a 4/10. I know you have some ideas up in mind on how you want your blog to be, but just couldn't execute properly. Keep on trying, you're on the right path.

Everyone else has said what needs to be said about the theme.

You need a heading - I have no idea what your site is about. It needs a "name" and/or a meaningful title.
