Making Money With 1 YouTube Video?

I'm curious, is it common for marketers to create a single youtube video related to a product, put an affiliate link in the description to the product and simply promote the video as best they can.

Can this be effective?

I actually did this a few months back. I used fiverr to get a 60 second video done about a teeth whitening product on clickbank with an affiliate link in the description. The video still has barely any views and obviously no sales. Could be lack of promotion in all honesty though...

Youtube is the one of your traffic source. If you really want to drive more traffic, you need to find out other sources too. Submit your video not only youtube but other video sites also

Earn $1,037.69 in daily is NOT a big amount.
I can show you how to do this.

Don't do one thing and think that will get you sales you have got to hussel, hussel, hussel

If you are sure your video will land you sales then send all this next info to your vid but if you think not and the site or affiliate program is the seller then send all this traffic plus the video traffic to the site.

Hint: If you are an affiliate and don't have a site you need to take out a cheap domain and redirect it to the affiliate program (Instructions will be inside the company where you bought the domain. You can do it within their backpages. Hint: Just look around in there for awhile i assure its there. They don't make it easy)

Namecheap was doing 3.99 .info domains last time i looked. Most places where you can advertise online do NOT want affilaite programs they want a domain so give them what they want.

Besides youtube there are plenty of free advertising avenues

-find a list of free press release sites - find a good press release you can emulate (Don't copy) submit you press release of your new site launch. There's a lot of good info about press releases out there do your research.

-write little articles of at leaset 300 words and submit them to article directories with your resource file at the end. (search google for ezinearticles.com and look at an article and see how they do it. put your keywords in the title and in the first paragraph, in the middle and at the end at least 3 times will do. Your title is important here, study how others write their titles and resource boxes for awhile before you do this.

-bookmark your site, search google for "how to bookmark your site"

-if you are using a blog send your feed url to rss directories (search google how to find my rss feed) and (how to submit to rss directories)

-ping your site or blog. pingler.com will do.

      -submit to blog directories

-go out and put up blog comments search (Comment love) if you have a wordpress site this will explode for you but be professional about it.

-join yahoo answers and answer questions, (go to tradebit and find a cheap book on how to do this) .99 will do it for ya

-post on forums. Here you must participate and have your link to your blog or domain in the sig file there. believe me this will help you. ONLY FORUMS IN YOUR NICHE. Search for thiese forums in google niche+forum

-post classified ads, find a list of top classifieds and make sure you renew them. craigslist and backpage are the two biggies again

      -do podcasts submit them

-make a free pdf, submit it everywhere you know to submit, free ebook directories, the free book section here, (PUT YOUR LINK INSIDE). I will tell you there are thousands of places to submit a free book. Search google if you find nothing the first time change your search string. Download labre office and make a ebook using writer its very easy. then you simply click on file, then extract to pdf and viola.

I could go on forever but you've got enough there all you need to do is sprinkle in some paid advertising after you have some income.

And you are on your way. Get a new product and start working on that one too.

Yeah, you can do very good things through a single YouTube video. Depends how much time and effort you put into marketing that video.

    Hi.

Youtube plays important role to us marketers. We need traffic, and Youtube can help us gain that traffic that we want or need. Single video in Youtube can make things that we like. But, depends on how you do that video or how was the presentation presented. There are many sites that you can use to post some videos, blogs, or anything that you want to gain traffic. Just make the best and Social Media do the rest!

    cheers!

The techniques you are using to promote your video may not be enough.
It doesn't appear to be effective. You might as well embed the video to social networking sites and share it in a post to a website or blog. You have to introduce it in a way that would entice others to share the video to their friends.

No, it doesn't because lack of promotion the idea behind marketing on youtube lies in video itself a good youtube marketing should be focused on your video.

Create something intresting so good that people share them with each other this way your video will become viral.

THERE WAS A Video about a guy selling fish by singing a song one pound fish became intense hit and soon it become song of everone mouth that was only possible because the video was interesting...

Ha funny you mention that guy, he lives not far away from where I live and a woman I used to work with didn't stop badgering on about this one pound fish!

Though to stay on topic, Youtube marketing sounds pretty simple but in fact if you look at how the successful marketers are profiting from Youtube you will see they do more then just upload a simple review video.

Keyword research, competition research and also an entire channel dedicated to that one main keyword... Then backlinks to the video, views, likes... Unless your video is very viral you will need to promote it your self.

This video has almost 70,000 views over 2 years. I've had to change the offer twice. It's brought in a little under $500. All I did was post it and bookmark it. I have a bunch of these.

I had much better things to do. I have hundreds of videos like that running on 99.9% auto-pilot. No marketing necessary. 20 minutes to make, 10 to upload, go on to the next one. Research and optimization are far more effective than marketing.

To maximize your traffic from YouTube you'll need to create more than one video. And there are all kinds of tricks to optimize your videos once they're uploaded. If I were you I would find out how to properly market on YouTube and then run with it.

Here are few tips to get you started:

      1. Don't create long videos. 3 minutes max. People have VERY short attention spans and they won't hesitate to click away from a video if they get bored. This is very important especially now that YouTube is counting "Time Watched" a video as a ranking factor.

      2. Use the same tags that popular videos in your niche are using. Do this and your video will end up in the list to the right of the popular videos.

      3. Respond to popular videos in your niche with your own video.

YouTube can be extremely powerful if you use it correctly. You should invest time in learning the ins and outs of the system. It's definitely worth it.

        This.

I'd only like to add that one needs to be logical in their promo efforts.

You start by using YouTube keyword tool and find out what keywords people search for on YouTube, and how often. Taking your niche, I'd also use Google Adwords Keyword Tool and see what keywords it suggests, because sometimes traffic arrives via blended Web search.

Then, I would see to it that the video is optimized for your target keywords. Just enter them into the search box, see who ranks for them, and see where your competitors use those keywords (in the video's title, in tags, see what categories they use, etc.).

You can also click on Statistics (there is an icon for that right underneath each video) and see if the video has been embedded anywhere on the Internet, see its demographics, its referrals, etc.

As for video responses, sometimes you're not allowed to leave a video response, but, if you are - that's a good way to drive traffic.

A popular online website, which allows internet users, just like you, to share videos or watch an unlimited number of them.

    Make Money With YouTube:

While a good portion of the individuals who post videos on YouTube are just posting videos that they have laying around, there are many more who actually make videos with the sole purpose of uploading them.

YouTube and sharing them with other internet users:

If you are one of those individuals, there are a number of points that you will want to keep in mind.

It takes a lot more than just uploading a video. It takes a lot of pitch to make it big through a single video. Success in Youtube is to scale it up and you will see that 2 out of 10 videos will make over 90% of your income. That is just the rule of thumb. Good luck!

You can make money like this but if you want to make it work faster you will have to make the youtube video more popular. By doing that you will have to get more views. The easiest way to get views is to buy them.
One of my products are youtube video views. You might want to see the thread I have about this product.

Yes it can be effective but your video should be really cool and not too importunate in terms of marketing.

I've uploaded a historic video few month ago and now I can see some decent traffic spike - I think it has gone viral.

Upload cool non promotional viral video and see how it goes,

stay away from heavily overhyped video that forces visitors to buy something, you'll get too many thumbs down and you'll video will get buried in the depth of youtube algorithm.

Youtube is awesome but making money with one video must be hard. I think that you need multiple video's to really start earning money, but like anything it depends how you market it and which niche you are operating in.
