Is this Clickbank tactic allowed?

I was checking the sites that my Clickbank affiliates use to send visitors. One of them is simply using a url that redirects to my site - no website of their own.

Is this allowed? I've checked the Clickbank site and I can find no clear answer to this. I've sent them an enquiry but past experience tells me they take at least the full two days to answer.

This all came about because I was looking for a new affiliate that is suddenly converting very well for me and I wanted to see what they are doing to pre-sell. If this is the one, then it's my site alone that is converting but it's way above normal.

Yes, it's allowed and alot of people do it. They may be using article marketing to presell.

Yes I use that method a lot too.

Hamida is right in that I'll use article marketing and then put my url in the resource box.

Because ezinearticles doesn't allow affiliate links, but do allow a redirect from top level domains, you'll find that many affiliates use this method.

      Bum marketing made it famous!

And it is absolutely fine with clickbank.

Yep, it's a very common method for affiliates to buy a domain name and set a redirect.
As mentioned, CB have no problem with that.

Looks like you got an affiliate who has found a good set of keywords - hence why your salespage is converting better than normal.

I don't object to it. In fact, I would like to know which keywords or other type of promotion this affiliate is using. Maybe I could learn something.

Yes redirect is allow, but I won't recommend that. I will recommend you to build a list and works on long term relationship with your list. You can gain much more profit in this way

Yes, it is allowed. I use redirect to test the Clickbank product that I wanted to promote. If the product is converting then I will change the site to my own site instead of just redirect.

Well, that's good news for you. Why? It shows that your sale page is working well and giving the conversion for your affiliates.

Normally it is always good for affiliates to build a list before re-directing them to your site. So it is your gain and their losses for not utilizing this to build their lists.

Can you PM me your site as I may want to promote it as well?
