Solo ads for a niche other than IM

Are there any solo ads services for niches that are other than IM?

I'm focused on the finance niche, investing, trading.

    Of course there is.

Do a research on Google & Clickbank for products similar to yours. Find out who's building a list in your niche and get in contact. You'll be surprised to hear that you get the best conversions from those who are not selling solo ads, but they have a list and you can buy one if you get in contact with them.

    Cheers,

    Mike

You can also check out the top blogs in your niche by visiting blog directories like Technorati. Check if any are building a list and ask them if they are willing to sell a solo ad promo. This has successfully worked for me in the health niche.

        Per mailing? I wish!

        That would be per 1,000.

Keep in mind these are not your typical IM lists that are being bombarded with solo emails day after day. That's why a lot of the subscribers you get from IM solo ads are very low quality.

These lists charge a premium so you know they are not getting hounded all the time with offers.

You get what you pay for.

          Sure Bai_Mike,
There are tons of other places you can buy solo ads for other niches outside IM. I would advise you to check the Directory of Ezines (DOE). Members get access to many ezines that allow you to send solo ads at very discounted prices. I am a member and I have not been disappointed.
Hi, chaujka, saw your post. Just wondering if you could give us some examples?

I have a profitable WSO, and since it is a Wordpress app, l have to go with solo ads, to make it profitable.

Advertising cost like Google Adwords, start at $5 per click, for anything decent; and Bing costs $35 per 100 visitors, and doesn't convert for my offer.

But affiliates have done well through their lists, so here l am!

$200 is a big slog, and l was hoping to get some numbers from you before considering this option?

From what l have read, advertised WP lists are out of date or burned?

Since DOE, has such a big entry cost, l suspect that it doesn't have the burnout list issue?

And could you please give us some examples of costs!

The cheapest advertised costs for a WP list or next best thing is about $150 per 100 visitors, using Google Freeview!

Too expensive for my offer. So l was wondering what an average cost would be for 100 WP members, list size, how many, typical conversion rate, etc.

          Thanks.

          Shane :p

Apologies for being a bit off topic perhaps but:
I have a question about these lists.. I know that nextmark site for a while but I just can't see any profit in it..

If there is a list that says e.g. $80 /m that means 80 dollars for 1000 emails right?

    So scenario:
You have open rate of 25% = 250 people open.
    conversion rate: 3% = 7.5 sales

So with 7.5 sales you must make sure to make a profit of 80 USD.. that is around 11 USD profit per product..

That is not very easy to achieve.. on top of that $80/m lists are 'rare' most of them are over 100$.

In conclusion these techniques are only useful for a highly tested and optimized product (/funnel) right?

Now my 'bonus question' (as I'm getting close to needing this).. where do people who claim they did over 20 A/B tests etc actually do their tests? Where does one find their (affordable) test traffic for your products?

    Thanks!

Is it possible to use safe-swaps for my investing niche?

The solos seem to be pretty cheap so I'm thinking of getting some solos from there. Would it be untargeted and yield very little results?

So should I take the risk and contact webmasters out there for solo ads?

      Thanks

I don't know about you. But I'll definitely take the risk to see if it works. Of course, when I say risk.. I mean calculated risk.

Set aside a budget which you're willing to risk. It's good to take risks sometimes.

If this works, it's going to pay off big time right? So why not risk a little and hopefully reap the reward later.
