What type of video creation services do you need?

Howdy Warriors,

I have a friend (actually several) that has recently lost his job do to his company shutting down. He doesn't know much about internet marketing other than a few things he hears me talk about.

One thing I noticed he has done before that I think would be a great service for Warriors is that he is pretty good at creating simple promotional type videos. As I have yet to utilize video marketing into my mix ( I know, what am I waiting for??

) I am not sure what others would be willing to pay for such a service and what they would like to see incorporated into the videos.

I have seen a few other offers on this forum in the past and have seen the price range from very cheap to not so cheap. Obviously the higher priced videos are super high quality with awesome video motion graphics, but I am thinking of a more cost effective solution that everyone can afford.

My initial thoughts would be to take an article or site or a product and create somewhat of a power point slide show with a nice musical background. Or several photos and bullet points mixed into a nice video slide show. Spice it up a little and make it sizzle.

So I guess my questions would be:

Would you be interested in this type of service?

What type of price would be reasonable?

Would you like to supply the articles/photos that would be turned into a video or would you like to have all the content and research provided (probably at an additional cost)?

Would you prefer to have the videos submitted to the various video sites for you or would you prefer to do this part yourself?

Am I missing anything additional that you think would be needed or useful to add into the mix?

I do use video marketing but I have to say I don't have a big budget for it.

BUT, I use it mainly for the backlinks and I imagine someone that was using the actual videos to help promote would be willing to pay more than I do.

I currently use article2video so it costs me about $2 for each video. They aren't masterpieces but do the trick and only take me about 2 minutes to make (they have a gui interface and I just plug my article in). I'm sure your fiend could do a much better job - you can PM me if you want to see a sample of one of these types of videos so that he can compare.

Does your buddy have the ability to shoot and edit live video? Or is it only preparing screen captures, Powerpoint and whatnot?

I went to the article2video site and was blown away. It is amazing what automation can do now a days. For $2 (give or take) I think that service does a great job (for its purpose), so my friend may need to take another angle on this project.

I do think that some folks may need/want a better promotional flare to a video, but for what I was thinking for utilizing the backlink benefits, the automated service would work perfectly.

I make pro graphical videos for my clients. That is something quite lucrative that you may wish to look into.

Hey Allen, he does do some live video footage, though he doesn't use super special video recorders, more like a mid-high end digital camera.

I am thinking that could be a great angle for the local "offline" niche to film some products/services and add to there web sites.

@Mubarak - I know the pro-caliber videos would make a lot more money and hopefully that would be the next step.
