You haven't read their Terms Of Service, though. No "money-making" of any kind is allowed there. It's for hobby bloggers only.

First off, you can't do it on free platforms. Secondly, the minute you try to make money on a free Wordpress blog, they will delete it. It is for non commercial use only.

If you want plugins and to monetize your blog, you will need to buy a domain and hosting and install Wordpress on it.

Yeah I think you need to have your own domain, hosting etc. to use plugins. The free blogs don't have the options to do those things. There may be some that have built in plugins that you can install. Check here:Best Blogging Platforms to Start a Blog

Here is my suggestion, go get a domain for about 8 dollars, hosting for 5 dollars or close to a month and set up your own website on your own hosting which is 100% owned by YOU. Why would you want to build your website on someone elses site, which is under control by them. Make the investment dude, it's not a lot of money.

You need to have your files on a server and then specify the file path for wordpress & click install. Its actually very simple. If you don't know php and all that jazz I'd say use net2ftp - a web based FTP client login to your files using your hosting details (may have to contact company for help) and upload your plugin.

Once that is done login to your WP admin and go to appearance and install

    Hope this helps

If you are planning a money making site, you should not hesitate investing a small amount, you can get domain + hosting for as low as $40-$0 per year. Free sites of all kinds (wordpress / blogger / free PHP + MySQL hosts) come with some kind of restriction and so should be avoided. If you are at least reasonably successul, you should make many more times your investment.

Go ahead, get a domain and find a host!

    Hi!

1&1 was running domain registrations for $0.99 the last time I checked. I think there is a limit as to how many you can register at that price (5 domains I believe), and then you'd have to wait for about a week before they send you the invoice and pay so you can start using your domain. The domain cannot be registered by anyone else upon application. It gets reserved for you. I don't know if that price is still up but I think it's worth checking out.

As for hosting, I think godaddy has something less than $3 for something that gives you unlimited addon domains. The price is very affordable but I don't know the catch. I personally use hostgator and I'm pretty happy with these guys.

Self hosting is cheap. Namecheap now offers free 30 days hosting. And you can get a 0.99 domain at godaddy. Enough to start

I must recommend going with NameCheap and Hostgator! They have been the most helpful and reliable for me. Start out by using the hostgator coupon of hosting for a month is a penny.

You shouldn't be using Wordpress.com, it doesn't allows you to install plugin.
Instead, you should use Wordpress.org - a self-hosted Wordpress blog
It is better to invest in a domain name and a web host for your future success...
