I just finished the video series for Market Samurai and they explained Markets and Niches beautifully, however I am having a bit of paralysis from analysis and I am hoping someone can help me let go and get my brain flowing again. So I have narrowed down my interests to a couple of things. I'm very much interested in "Sex Therapy", "Relationship Therapy" and/or "Personal Development". All of these sound incredible to me. They are a start, but I'm wondering if these are just specific markets and not niches within the markets. At the same time though I could see where they might be niches, but I don't know. Can someone just spread some knowledge for and on me cause I'm obviously not getting it or something.

A market is fractal, and divisible until you get to 1. In other words, you could take a "general" market like Personal Development and include 1,000 words that correlate with that market. Under the heading of personal development you may place:
    - Increase self confidence - Anthony Robbins - Lose Weight - Gain Muscle - Etc., Etc. -

Choose one of those words to begin dividing it further, and creating a sub-niche. Under Anthony Robbins you may place:
-Anthony Robbins Seminars- Anthony Robbins Books - Anthony Robbins Courses - Etc., Etc. -

Take one of those words, begin dividing it even further, and creating another sub-niche. Under Anthony Robbins Books you may place:
Unliminted Power, Awaken The Giant Within, Notes From A Friend

The more narrow you make the niche (further you divide a general category down into specific keywords/phrases) the smaller the market or interest.

The idea is to narrow a niche so that it is sizeable enough to justify you putting time into, is within your skill set to rank for and ideally something you yourself have interest in!

    Hope that helps~

Thank you for the advice first of all and second of all, although I know the "sizeable" is relative, what are some good numbers to justify putting time into that niche?

It should be something that you feel interested in.

I think that the markets you specified are in the health or relationship niche. But, they are not really a micro niche. Take it a bit deeper than just relationship therapy or sex therapy. One more step deeper and I believe you will be where you want to be.

Start doing some keyword research and that will open up the sub niches for you.
