e-Course Or Report As Bonus Incentive?

Hello fellow warriors,

I'm promoting an affiliate product and currently am in the process of setting up my bonus/es.

I'm a bit confused on what I should offer. Yes, I did some research and most other affiliates are offering reports of some sort as bonus. I'm thinking along the lines of making my offer different. In addition, I also want to capture my buyers' email address.

So I thought of going the e-course way. In this e-course I could also offer some freebies and special discounts etc.

So if you guys think offering an e-course is not such a bad alternative to offering a report, how should I go about it?

Is this more or less how I should do it?

Mention this special e-course is the bonus buyers will receive if they buy through my affiliate link. I'll also mention that they will receive special gifts just for getting this bonus.

So once buyers purchase through my link, they send me an email with their receipt number. Once I've verified this to be correct, I then send them a link to a squeeze page where they'll have to enter their email address and thus receive their e-course bonus.

So is this more or less how I should go about it? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Lydia

You should offer something upfront to capture their email... Offer the ebook upfront in exchange for their email address.

Then offer the ecourse as the bonus for buying.

Once you have their email you can promote more stuff to them in the future.

I'm doing that now with a forex campaign that I'm running.

I offer both a free ecourse and an ebook upfront for the optin, then as the ecourse is going I promote forex products to them.

I develop the relationship by giving the free ebook... I build and grow the relationship through the ecourse, then I promote products to them that will "help" them.

Thanks for replying back Droopy Dawg. Hmm, interesting name you have there...

Ok, going back to the topic... How do you do that? Can you break it down into micro-bits for me?

Say I offer a free report just for buying through my link. Then they send me an email requesting for their bonus. Then once I've verified this, I'll send this free report to them.

Where do I get their email address? At this stage? Then I add their email address to my autoresponder series? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any of the good autoresponder will allow this right?

Or in that email I send to them, I include a link to my squeeze page where they will have to enter their email address to get their free report and to also inform them of this additional ecourse?

Please help me straighten out my confusion.

      Thanks

You can have a form field in your optin form strictly for their order number (or whatever). You ask them for their name and email so that you'll know where to send the free report, and ask for the order number so that you can verify their purchase.

You can manually send their report via email once you verify the receipt/order number.

Here's how I'd go by doing the whole process... I'm not sure how you drive traffic to your website, but lets say that you've written a ton of articles to drive traffic to your website, or web page.

What I'd do is create a squeeze page, and link my resource box it. On the squeeze page I'd promote the affiliate product that I'm trying to sell, and offer a free report just for visiting. I'd use the 'target="_blank"' attribute in the optin form so that they don't leave teh page.

In the next paragraph I'd offer the free ecourse if they'd by the affiliate product from me. I'd give the affiliate link... again use the 'target="_blank"' attribute on the link so that they don't leave teh page.

Let them know that they can claim their free ecourse by entering their name, email, and recipt/order number... create another optin form, and another list in your autoresponder for this, and add the 3rd field to your autoresponder form to capture the order number.

The reason why you want a separate list is so that you can separate your customers from your "wanna-be customers".

The people that opts in for the free report, and not buy the product... you can promote the product to them thru the autoresponder.

Is that confusing? If so I apologize...

Better to give them some readymade customer. So that they can start immediate business there.
