Are FREE WSOs more valuable than Paid WSOs???

Hello fellow Warriors,

I write this post, because I am really satisfied with the last WSO I didn’t buy – I just got it for free.

I am a member of this forum for over a year now, I have learned a lot of stuff, I have bought exactly 6 WSOs and some of them delivered value, some not, I made some money with them, but no one was the game changer for me. I am sure that out there are really valuable Paid WSOs which can change people's lives.

But 5 days ago I was researching which is the best FREE WSO here on the Warrior Forum and I think I found it. When I read thru it I was really shocked! It was a complete system which can be easily sold for hundreds of dollars, but it was 100% FREE. I won’t post the link here, because I am not sure that I am allowed to. But I can PM it to everyone interested in.

What about you? Share your experience with FREE WSOs? Do you even download them or just skip them and jump on the next shiny “I made $1464593363583946 in 4 hours” WSO

well it depends what you buy mate! Most of them have money back guarantee, so just get your money back if you are not satisfied. I would say wso paid not only because you pay for it, but because your mind perceives it worth at least the money you spent.

do you remember the saying "what comes for free, is worth exactly the same"

example: I gave to a friend of mine, a method that I make money each month (double) and he got the method and did nothing with it even though it takes pro 1hour a day work to make 3K$ a month and still he does not do it. Why? Because he did not pay, and in his mind its not worth, his mind does not accept it as worthy.

Now, if I sold the system or whatever else thousands of $$ he of course would have grabbed it and work with it.

so, final answer. What your mind perceives is the most important of all, and how you use it (am not saying that what is delivered from the seller does not matter though)
I have got a few free stuff that I consider valuable but do not consider them that free because I dont think free things are that good!

    cheers

I got one free WSO here almost 2 years ago; the ideas I got from it seriously boosted my income. It came with some unique ideas and approaches to get free traffic.

Also bought some paid WSOs, some worth the price and some didn't and some of them were extremely good.

I think it all depends on what are you going to learn [or benefit] from a specific WSO and how will you implement it to make money regardless of whether it is a free or paid WSO.

Never really bothered with a free WSO. When I buy a WSO, I am looking for a specific product that will do a specific thing or provide me with specific information ... not just random WSOs, no matter how good they may or may not be.

      ^^ What she said!
If you buy WSO for any other reason... that's just mental masturbation (and waste of money).

I think most people are looking for something specific and sometimes even find it and are willing to pay for it, but free WSOs sometimes can be valuable too, especially to newbies. And everyone can be a newbie. I am a newbie when it comes to Kindle publishing, for instance. A total newbie.

For me Internet Marketing is not limited to only what ever I am doing now or what I am looking for ..........
I always keep my eyes and ears open to see if there is any thing else [any other niche / product] where I can make money...
and by going through interesting WSO's one can always explore new stuff....

I've yet to buy my first WSO, I've been working with info from the War Room thus far.

That being said, I agree with sbucciarel above. The only way I managed to get out of the information overload phase before I got stuck there was by reading material relevant to what I decided to do.

Hopefully, I'm not missing out but if I am I'l find out once I've exhausted my current focus.

If the WSO you found has anything to do with list building do send it over.

There are a few free WSO's on there right now that are not even worth an email address, and there are some (including my own) that are well worth it. But, like Suzanne mentioned above, you have to know what you're looking for.

I'd imagine most free WSO's are "free" because the creator knows they're not worth selling. Of course that's not always the case, but definitely more often than not, it is.

I hope your free WSO is the exception... hahaha... just kidding...

But, seriously, when someone offers a WSO for free it doesn't mean they believe it's not worth selling. We need to think for the long run, and when we do it we see how important it is to build a reputation, relationships and lists. A free WSO may help a lot with these things.

I have already created free WSOs and I think that all of them were good products that could be sold for $50+, I just gave them away for free to spread the information, build relationships and capture leads. It's a very common practice and it can be very profitable in the long-term.

I can't make a fair comparison because I very rarely bother looking at free WSO's. Free to me means the person didn't feel the information was valuable enough to charge for it.

      Agreed.

Something that's free is usually one of two things

A once paid for WSO that is now given away just to generate leads

Or a product that isn't detailed or fresh enough to have a price tag... Usually along the lines of a small report

I went with both though just because you never know what you might find

Yes, that's right, many WSOs are given away for free to generate leads. However, I think that generating leads is something very important and valuable. And when we give away something to capture leads, we have to start the relationship with our subscribers with the right foot by delivering a quality product.

So, many marketers give away good products with this purpose plus building their reputation, which is also very important.

Of course, there are free products that are full of BS, but it's not a general rule that applies to every single WSO that's free.

mmm I made a step by step with screen capture of the process I followed to format and upload an ebook to kindle. It includes the creation of the mobi file.

I thought it was cool to make a free wso with it. I have no list in the IM niche, never wanted to get into it; but at this point I feel I do have a thing or two to share.

Now, I´m doubting... maybe I shoudn´t give it for free (?)

Free WSO's also mean that a person has created a lead gen offer which may be of exceptional quality.

It's pretty obvious that most paid WSOs provide more value than free WSOs.

Some products that you may launch will have a hard time making a profit. As long as you're building your list at the same time, you'll generate more revenue over the long term.

If a free WSO generates 100 leads a bump, I don't need to ask myself whether it's profitable or not because I know the answer to that question. Of course, it is! Depending on your email campaign, marketing skills, offers and a number of other factors, it should not be difficult to drive a profit if you should be paying $0.40 per lead.

    Easy game..

??? Does this mean that the free WSO that we're seeing... We can sell some of those?

    Both.

You see, my free wso is given away fro free as the exact same freebie that I use
to give away on my blog, other blogs etc..

For me, It is VERY valuable and I really think my freebie is powerful and valuable.

I can name at least 5 free WSO's that beat the crap outta 5 paid wso's.

So I say both, free WSO's are just easier to prepare and create but they don't get you as much sales as a paid and they don't get you as much buyers as the paid..

    To OUR Success,
    Tom

Warriors who offer free WSOs are often looking to build an email list or make money from a back end offer, so in the long run these offers might not cost any money right away but could lead you to buy other offers in the future.

It doesn't matter wether a WSO is free or not. In my opinion it depends on what you are searching for. If you are looking for a WSO in your niche both types free or paid could push you.

Any random paid report won't make you a million!

Information is available everywhere, paid and free... Some information is "over here", some information is "over there"... The pieces of the proverbial puzzle are scattered about. That said, I've seen two people get the same information, and one become extremely wealthy with it, the other not so much...

Whether you pay for a WSO or take the freebies... What works for you isn't so much dependent on whether you paid or got information for free. The method of getting the horse to water does not matter, so long as he drinks it.

I prefer information that is relevant and actionable. If I have to pay for it I will, if its free, I'll take that too...

But like I said, free or paid, its what you do with it that matters.

I've gotten great information from both paid and free WSOs over the years.

What really determines the value is how YOU work with them.
