Are animated doodle sales videos the most effective???

I know that video seems to be the way to go with sales letters.

But someone was saying that the doodle type animated videos (where an artist draws out the ideas ona white board) have been proven to be the most effective in capturing a users attention.

So I'm thinking of using this for my current sites and future sites to sell info products.

Can anyone confirm that this is the most effective means to do video sales letters. Or is there a more effective way to do video sales presentations?

here's a youtube example of what I mean, I'm sure you know already....

There is no one answer for every product. In cases for info products, many people have recorded much high conversions for doodle sales letters than traditional. A good example would be Mike Geary's Truth About Abs. However, that was launched at a time where doodle videos were not nearly as big as they are now. IT will be up to you to test different means of communication and see what converts the best.

Also, I hope you have a large enough budget for these videos. They run a few thousand dollars per minute for quality production.

It's an easy enough formula to copy and it can be very effective. Is it the very best for your particular product or market? Who knows, you would have to do a lot of testing.

  • I know someone who claims to make nearly $1,000 a month with Google Doodle Videos. He only makes screencasts (with a few annotations) and says the videos should not be longer than 1-2 minutes. Of course you need a blog, facebook account or whatever to drive a lot of traffic right after uploading the video. So the video has a good start.

In my experience they definitely are effective and keep the viewer more engaged than a standard sales letter on some of my sites.

Only way you'll know if they work on your site is if you test them out. There's some sellers on Fiverr if cost is an issue though I can't vouch for how good they are.
