Has the LOL/Meme niche been saturated?

Hello. Are you in the LOL/Meme / Funny pictures niche?

I was playing around with Adwords and found some high volume, low competition keywords and was thinking of installing WLOL script on them.

I actually already have one meme site Im LOL which doesnt really target any phrase but gets traffic from pinterest, facebook etc which is how I've got into this.

I was thinking of scaling it up with a meme generator rather than just using an auto LOL script. No point in posting stuff thats already out there.

But I'm fishing for feedback really. Are you in this niche. What script do you use? Do you find it profitable in any way?

Here are some search volumes with low competition.

damn lol memes 590
grumpy cat meme 5,400
cat meme 9,900
cat memes 8,100
dog meme 5,400
animal meme 1,000
know your meme 301,000
lol meme 27,100
meme 1,000,000
memes 1,220,000
meme base 40,500
meme center 60,000
meme creator 90,000
meme faces 74,000
meme generator 550,000
meme lol 6,600
meme maker 90,500

There is massive market there. Half a million people searching for meme generator every month in the UK alone.

What "meme" keywords are you tracking?
#lol or meme #niche #saturated

Not to rain on your parade, but I think there may be too many free options out there.

Unless you are able to provide something extraordinarily unique to the world of "meme" generation, I simply do not see a profitable venture.

... of course, I would love for you to prove me wrong because that would mean you found a sub-niche of people willing to pay for this service. If that were the case: good on you!

I'm thinking many of the members here are too young to remember "pimp your myspace" sites.
