Use Vagex or anything else to increase your views????? Be careful and read on...

This past few days, i've heard a lot of people getting their YouTube accounts banned or videos removed from Using Vagex and other view boosting sites and services. Some of these people claimed that they only use Vagex and nothing else but still received the following email:

This following video was found in Violation of TOU #4 Section H:

You agree not to use or launch any automated system, including without limitation, "robots," "spiders," or "offline readers," that accesses the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to the YouTube servers in a given period of time than a human can reasonably produce in the same period by using a conventional on-line web browser. Notwithstanding the foregoing, YouTube grants the operators of public search engines permission to use spiders to copy materials from the site for the sole purpose of and solely to the extent necessary for creating publicly available searchable indices of the materials, but not caches or archives of such materials. YouTube reserves the right to revoke these exceptions either generally or in specific cases. You agree not to collect or harvest any personally identifiable information, including account names, from the Service, nor to use the communication systems provided by the Service (e.g., comments, email) for any commercial solicitation purposes. You agree not to solicit, for commercial purposes, any users of the Service with respect to their Content."

Please note that your video content has been removed. You may reupload your removed videos in such a way that is not violative of our TOU.

Should your account be found in violation of our Terms of Use #4 Section H again, your account will be suspended without the possibility for appeal.

YouTube takes the abuse of its system very seriously. Any user found gaming views, subscribers, meta-data or otherwise misleading users will have their account statistics wiped on the first offense, and on the second offense have their account permanently terminated.

Many users trust their account to outside marketers who claim to be able to increase views, etc. You are responsible for activity that happens on your account, and are responsible for knowing and abiding by our terms - this means understanding the nature of the traffic on your channel and making sure you are in compliance with our terms.

Sincerely,
The YouTube Team

NOW, i do understand that if you break the rules, there are consequences but the problem is that there also those who claim that they have never purchased or unnaturally increase their views in any way but still got their account banned or videos removed and received the same email message above. Click here for more info.

Could they have been sabotage??? If my competition once me out, he or she could simply add get my video removed or account banned by giving me free views...yes? Make sense? What do you think? You think YouTube is being too hard and not thinking properly or is this some kind of glitch or something to scare Video Marketers etc who use services to increase their views etc. ?

By the way, anyone received that message?

Will check back in the morning

I don't see any problem here. They are restricting the accounts of users who are violating Google's terms of service.

I think you may have missed a few of the details posted by the OP.

It looks like a lot of people are losing their YouTube accounts because competitors or malevolent people are sending fake views to their videos. The users themselves are not violating Google's terms of service, but they are losing their accounts none the less.

A bunch of Fiverr gigs are now 'paused' with lots of complaints about accounts being pulled. This is affecting quite a few people it seems like.

It was pretty much just a matter of time, right? I can CLEARLY spot a video that has been boosted with fake views and comments. I'm pretty sure Skynet...err....Google can do it just as easily.

But can you tell if those views are by the video owner trying to game the system, or if they are a competitor trying to get the video/account banned?

Do you think YouTube can tell the difference?

Now how are they going to differentiate between fake views
sent by you and your competitor? I can understand that
they want to keep their service 'clean' but this is a real
problem for legitimate YouTube users as well.

Its a good thing not to go the fake view, comment, like route. Somehow, I see this only affecting people who engage in these practices

According to Joanie, all she uses is Vagex.

It seems to me, that the problem probably lies either with a competitor flagging accounts, which happens way too often, or with an excessively high view count over too short a period (or even both).

I am aware that Vagex adds views slowly, but it is still relatively easy to see when "unnatural" methods have been used to boost views.

I do realize that it is helpful to at least get your views moving, especially if you are promoting affiliate products, but once you get close to the 300 views mark then it is better to stop and use other methods to encourage viewers to come to your channel.

YT is well aware of what marketers do in an attempt to improve their rankings. They are also aware of the fact that there are unethical marketers who flag competitors videos.

Their appeal process is quite good and I know of several online video marketers who have had their channels and videos reinstated.

Panda and Penguin hurt a lot of websites including many where nothing incorrect had been done. It is only a matter of time before similar algorithm changes affect YouTube channels and videos as well.

Most likely the problem is due to flaggers aka competitions.

Another reason, which I've been told, is that YT is deleting accounts that use the exploits in Adsense.

    Addition:
If you buy non-dripped views, it may trigger YT warning system. Because the fast increase doesn't sound 'natural'.

Google is retiring 'free' marketing methods. They want you to pay them for those views.

    Hey everyone,

I'm really concerned. I'm just checked one of my accounts and I've noticed this morning one of my Youtube videos got over 2000 views in Youtube analytics.

The number seems to be growing on the view counter as well.

Is someone trying to nuke my account? And if so, should I report it? It's just that I've heard stories where people report these kinda things to Google owned properties and they end up getting banned as a result.

Hi James, shoot me the url to your video and i'll take a look at the views to see if your are getting sabotaged in any way. I've heard and seen rare cases like this before.

Only if your interested of course.

Could be 'negative YouTube SEO' like you're suggesting. It seems like if Google is quick to remove videos with fake views that would make this an effective tactic to move up. Send in fake views, report the video, watch it get banned....move up!

      Rinse and repeat...

It might be worth a preemptive step from you to YouTube.

I've used Vagex on some of my videos and I noticed recently a lot of views were removed from those videos but I wasn't banned and my videos are still up and holding their rankings.
