How does Catalyst compare to Thesis or Genesis WP frameworks?

I am planning out a new blog network and am thinking of using Catalyst. Anyone know how this compares to Thesis or Genesis? How flexible is it? How easy is it to design new sites on it? I am a writer not a designer. Can it accommodate my lack of design skills? How easy is it to get a header/logo from Fiverr and slap on a Catalyst child design?

Can anyone help me? I am ready to pull the trigger on this deal and don't want to waste $127 if there are better options out there. I'd greatly appreciate any help.
