Hi Guyz,
I am thinking of doing press releases to get traffic to my website. Have anyone tried it before. If so, kindly tell me if it works, and if it does, give me some tips or techniques that you use.

Like any other method for getting traffic (except a few like JV or solo mailings or paid traffic) it is a build it and work it system. You can't put up one press release and expect a lot of traffic. Instead, build up a system of putting out a press release every couple of weeks with new information, on legitimate PR sites and watch for converting traffic to come your way.

It won't matter how many people come to your site if they don't convert - optin or purchase or whatever you want them to do. Press releases can be a nice source of trickle traffic over time that just keeps giving.

Thanks for your help and advice guyz. I have a sales funnel set up, and I need to send traffic to my squeeze page. Can I use Press Releases to directly send traffic to my squeeze page?

in my experience, a good and reliable PR service will only allow 2 URL's since most respectable PR distribution sites only allow 1 url in the body of the article and one more in the "writer's credit" section. It's rarely possible to put in three links and I've never heard of a site that allows five url's in one PR article, not to mention the fact that it will significantly lower the link-juice's power...
One service I've worked with in the past and can recommend is bringthepress [dot] com (they won't promise you the moon and stars - but they will deliver what they promise..)
That said, I've been working with press releases for the last year now and I have to tell you, I think you are going wrong about this.
Press releases are good for building authority and prestige for any site but i think it's kind of wasted on a squeeze page...
If you want traffic to a squeeze page, all you need is one or two quality guest blog posts in site/s related to your squeeze page's topic. You can try guestbloggingempire [dot] com for that. Again, worked with them in the past.
Any way, if you do end up getting a press release article for your squeeze page, I would appreciate very much if you could update the threde on what effect [if any] this move made.

Yes, I have tried press releases before and they work like a charm.

Use your desired keywords in the headline and through out the text.

Create a "newsworthy" story. That means you can not just say "buy this now...".

If you do it right you can easily make some money with this.

It is easy, does not cost much and it works fast.

Here is an article that describes which free press release services are the best:

Press releases are good and they do work. I recommend PRweb, PRlog, and "free-press-releases" (with dot com at the end). PRweb will get you the best results though... yet they're kinda expensive. But worth it.

A good quality press release, well distributed is a proven means of reaching out to the people. Press release, however, are more effective to the overall scheme of things in traffic generation if done in combo with other methods. Periodic releases of news about your company results in improved results. Hope it helps. If you need any further assistance, feel free to get in touch.

Press Release is one of the best ways to drive massive traffic your site, I would highly recommend you go with it; but also be very selective when you choose press release site to submit your content to it.

    best of luck
