As an reliable payment method that is working with Paypal, 2CO driving more attention.

But, what does the requirements to open an account with them? I mean anything such as bank account types and more things.

Thanks!

No; you don't need a merchant account with your bank to use their service. It's a payment processing service: they effectively allow their merchant customers to use 2CO's own merchant account (in exchange for a fee, and subject to all their terms of service, which you'll need to read carefully) in order to sell their products/services.

Like any other online payment processor, they're effectively driven and regulated by the demands of their own upline financial service providers.

At the moment, especially, with this rapidly-changing regulatory climate, it's very easy to look at out-of-date advice, opinions and information. This is just one of the reasons why you're asking in the wrong place, here, and should be asking 2CheckOut directly.

The best answers to your question is to contact them directly via email or call them. I don't think you really need your bank account before you can use them (last time I checked)

They dont allow internet marketing and make money online products. So if you have a product outside of these niches you will be good to go.

Thanks Randall! I'm planning to take payment for the custom themes!

One more thing that I wonder is they do not allow membership site in their TOS; I don't really get it.

I ask here because I don't have any respond from them. Therefore, I firstly give here a try!

I'd watch out for 2Checkout. Maybe try Plimus, Moneybookers or Payza.

Plimus, now Bluesnap, are not viable for me because they also need my PayPal account in order receive fund through PayPal. In addition, I already have Skrill and Payza. Anyways, thanks for your know put.
