Default Places for groups to meet offline?

Hey Warriors,

So I'm building a group that will meet monthly. This is so I will have something to always invite potential clients to. (a la "Book Yourself Solid")

However, since I want to charge for this, I need somewhere other than the library to start meeting.

Any ideas?

The price is starting at a measly $5, just to cover the cost of running a group.

I'm confident I can get plenty of people to show... I just need to find a place to host it.

Would a hotel be a good choice? I'm not sure how cheap small conference rooms are though. Especially here in Orlando!

Any thoughts would be awesome!

I know what I'm about to suggest works in Canada and I don't see why it wouldn't work in the USA.

Chapters which is similar to Barnes & Nobles or Borders has seating areas where various groups hold meetings. I don't know if they charge but even if they do I think it would be minimal.

One of the meeting areas in the store I frequent most often is adjacent to the business section so in addition to people who are seated there is often spillover to people looking at business books.

Hope this helps....

Check out meetup.com
You can have open or private group meetings. Many groups meet at local restaurants with private rooms, local community centers. Could get some free or low cost local meeting location ideas just by checking out where others meet.

That's actually where I'm running the group from.

From what it looks like, where I'm at people are running groups from restaurants/library/their offices mostly. At least in the niche I'm working in.
