Best Virus Protection Software?

Hi Warriors,

I'm having issues with my computer and I think I may have been infected. Slowing down, files missing or corrupted, etc.

Can anyone tell me what the best software in the $30 range would be?

Thanks for your help.

I have used most if not all the software out there to protect my computer systems.
I currently use Comodo Firewall and AV suite. Friends of mine have gotten viruses over the last few weeks, my system remains clean.

I use Comodo Firewall and AV suite, Comodo BOClean, Spybot SD... I used to use 3 or 4 other security software in addition but my system came to a halt and several of them even though they report no spyware did in fact call home and other places reporting on my computers activity. Now I just use the 3 security software above.

I have found that Comodo works a lot better for me than any of the other software I have used. What I like most is the constant alerts for software trying to call out to the internet and the flexibility of creating custom filters. I want to control and set the firewall to work the way I want it to, Comodo lets me do that easily.

I use Trend Micro Internet Security and I am very happy with it. I installed it on 3 of my computers and it protects my wireless network too. Once I had some issue and the customer service was great. I recommend it.

If you google Housecall or Bitdefender, you will find two scanners that you can use online for free. I use McAfee and use both regardless.
