What Tracking script/software/services do you use to track where your visitors have come from?

any good ones which ar easy to use, and free, which provide a good service?

I heard google analitics.... that good?

    Google analytics, hands down.

    It's free, but don't let that fool you. I think it was a pretty expensive tool offered by some other company way back when, before Google bought them out and then made it free. Plus it tracks just about everything you'd need to know, even though most people barely scratch the surface of what it can do.

    Plus, if you're going to sell a site, show your stats for proof, or something similar, it's good to be able to create screen shots from the tracking tool that almost everyone else is using, or at least the one most people are used to.

      I had been using Google for some of my sites, but based on the recommendations of Phil and Jay I signed up for StatCounter and set it up on one of my blogs.

      Would there be any good reason to use both Google and StatCounter on the same website?

    Google analytics is so great. It has more stats than you can ask for. Very powerful. I highly recommend it.

    Google Analytics is the best. You can also try statcounter.

    There is one another tool called sitemeter which works pretty good.

    But Google Analytics is THE best.

    Google analitics is a great tool. At least I believe so. I've personally used it in the past, but I've stopped doing so, as it's hard to make it work with wordpress. I'm not sure why.

      i am working with it since last 4 months its quite good. alternatively you can use Google analytics
