Where can I find cheap labor for menial word processing work?

I have mountains of text in old html form. I need to have this text copied from simple webpages into pre-formatted Microsoft word documents, and lightly edited (removing a few notes, paragraph markers, image markers, etc). There is no writing, typing or proofing required.

The work is incredibly easy, but for me at least boring to the point of being mind-numbing.

Does anyone know a good place to go to find someone, maybe in the Philippines, who could reliably take care of this work? And what should I expect to pay?

    Odesk will be good for your purpose. If you want to outsource for really cheap, then microworkers.com, minuteworkers.com, shorttask etc will come in handy though it will take some time to "setup" the task properly.

    Thanks. I'm looking at Odesk, but most of the contractors there seem to be overqualified and overpriced for the kind of work I need done.

    This really is simple cut-and-paste stuff. There isn't enough margin to justify high labor costs. I'm looking for something very inexpensive. That's why I suggested a low-cost country where people can speak English.

    I'm going to have a look at the other sites you mentioned now.

    Quite a few out there, most with free trial so you can check they work for you.

    Yea, I've tried it. But it is too much bother for the reward, and didn't work well anyway.

    Have you browsed fiverr for matching requirements? I have come across a few good sellers who can do the formatting and other things related to word processing applications.
