Folks, when you start to do something and want to be successful please do diligence and yes, do your homework first.

learn everything you can before you launch a product, service or anything else. It will help you a lot!

as the saying says, do or die! Do it, now!

p.s: All those that have done their do diligence and feel like sharing why is important and would like to help other folks as well please you are more than welcome to share.

Great point. The War Room and the Articles Forum are good resources for due diligence. Of course, double check whatever info you get by running forum searches and blog searches regarding whatever info you want to implement. Opportunity costs matter too.

Great post. It's all about starting 2013 with a CLEAR PLAN.

That's a valid point but there's a fine line between due diligence and wasting time on unnecessary/overcomplicated details (trying to be a perfectionist).

How do you suggest we draw the lline?

"Do or die" could be applied to just jumping in and getting a product launched. Infact, I'd say that's probably where the term is best suited. "Do now before you never will". A possible deterrant being the process depicted in ones own mind as being more complicated than it actually need be.

Research is important but as noted, I don't suggest spending an extreme amount of time on it in all cases. Sometimes things don't require a lot of research. Some conclusions are immediately apparent by trends and ones own experience.

Ultimately it depends upon what kind of product a person intends to launch, the skills and knowledge they already possess and what they intend to achieve.

I say don't overlook research, but certainly don't overcomplicate it.

true, you have a valid point there and thank you for commenting this will help a lot of people. Do you diligence, its not meant to do only that and not think of other phases of the product or service launch so

        thank you!

Let's note that the term is "To use due diligence".

We are to use due diligence - not excessive.

The term in itself encompasses that which we need to do. i.e. only that which is necessary.
