Thank you - Why dont we thank each other more?

It seems strange to me but as far as I have seen, thank you are hard to get in this forum and I dont know even why lol .

I would like to say thank you to everyone that has posted in this forum, to everyone that has helped someone else Thank You!

    Is that not what the thanks button is for? I guess some people who lurk just don't feel like replying. Don't think for a second that your valuable contributions don't go unnoticed.

      That's crap, IMO. Every week or so someone starts a thread to complain about a lack of "thanks." Well, prove it. Find a well-thought-out, useful, or funny post (that wasn't copied from somewhere else) that didn't get any thanks. Did YOU thank them?

      For the most part, people get the "thanks" they deserve. Posting a lot of crappy one-liners with no thought put into them is not going to generate many thanks.

      Besides, the number of "thanks" really doesn't mean a damn thing. This isn't one of those "rep"-based forums.

    Actually I can't find the thank button in my firefox. It must be for some addons. But I seriously think we should thank each other more and more.

    Start a thread that provides value, or contribute to an existing thread with a valuable comment and the thanks will come. The last thing we want is a bunch of people thanking others for sub par comments. I always thank people on the forum if they have given value, but I've seen many get thanked for no reason - and that's just plain wrong. On the whole though, I couldn't care less.
