Dedicated and Fast Severs - Where do you find the best at a good price?

I am going to need a dedicated very fast sever shortly. I was wondering if anybody had any particular experience with any company they would recommend.

Also, I will need to update a large data base every few months. Is it possible to rent multiple severs for a week or so to do this process?

If anybody can offer any advice on the above it will be appreciated.

Thanks, Bill

I use a VPS at Welcome to DotComHosts! Shared, Reseller , VPS , VDS, Windows, Dedicated Server hosting specialists! since 2007. They are reliable and have extremely fast customer service + great prices as far as i remember. They will customsize the servers for You.

    Hope that helps!

It is cheaper in the long run to just buy your own server and just pay for colocation services. I've been doing that for one of my websites for years and never been better. I do go through dedicated hosting before and it was just BS, even though I was on dedicated, I still had restriction on what I could do with it.

    Hi Bill

I bought a package from - esecuredata.com/default.aspx - six months ago and have been super happy with their service and the product.

    Processors: Intel Core 2D E6600 4M

    Ram: 4 GB

Hard Drives: Two 500 GB SATA

    Bandwidth: unmetered

    IP: 2

    Remote Access:
    Root (SSH) on Linux
RDP on WindowsRoot (SSH) on Linux
    RDP on Windows

    24/7/365 Support

    Unlimited Reboots

Included Software - Whatever comes with the OS you specify is included. Most Linux distributions come with PHP 4, Perl, CGI, SSI, Apache, MySQL, Sendmail, FTP and others. Windows comes with IIS and ASP.NET. Any software beyond whatever is installed during initial setup must be installed by the client.

There are no limits to the software you install other than space required.

$USD Rental,no contract term, cancel anytime, first and last month due on order, no refunds, Windows licensing extra if needed.

US$149/mth plus MS fees as mine is windows OS

Just a side note: There is no affiliate program so the prices are super reasonable.

Anyway, 6 mths and no problems at all yet.

    Hope this helps

I just moved over to ThePlanet.com and couldn't be happier.

They are actually the supplier for many of the big name hosting companies.

      Good luck!
