    I actually get a bit of a kick out of researching new niches. There are plenty of very good ones outside of IM imho. One very interesting one for 2013 is peer to peer lending, it could go toe to toe vs the big banks in a few years time:

    Interestingly from a site owners viewpoint, CPA can be as high as $100 per lead.

    I operate in a ton of different niches, from high volume low income sites like jokes, funnies etc. to lower traffic high payout niches like payday loans. The key to niche marketing is 'owning' the niche with a great authority site.

    I rarely stay in the niche long term as I get bored quickly and always love to cash out on the asset that I've built.

    My major goal for 2013 is to dominate half a dozen more niches and go for some larger payouts.
