Whats stopping you from making more money online ?

I am already into IM and making money online since last 4 yrs.. but who wouldn't want more ? I mean, really if someone would make 5k a month, they would aim for 10k.. and so on, so forth. Its human nature.

So what is stopping you from making more money online ? Is it -
1. Motive
2. Time
3. Method
4. Inclination to work hard(er)

For me, it is Time but All said and done - I think I can surely manage it better

    For a lot of people, it's all about mindset. We tend to limit ourselves based on our beliefs of what we can and cannot achieve. The people who are super-successful don't have one doubt about their ability to sell you anything, and that's in the mindset that comes with time and experience.

      Time. That's it. Motivation and willpower used to be, but then I did a bit of a binge on improving and researching that (still doing it), and that's no longer a problem by any stretch. I have all the tools in place and things in motion, I just need time to get it all done. There aren't enough hours in the day.

      It's started to cut way back at my Facebook and even some of my WF time.

    Time is one reason, but also procrastination and distractions online. It's easy for someone to say close your browser window and focus, but when you have the internet at your fingertips it's not that easy.

      One thing most new marketers have to learn first is that before you can make your 1st $1,000 you have to learn how to make your 1st $100. I see it all the time, marketers expecting to make 10k a month but haven't yet learned how to make $100 yet, and it's doing it backwards.

      It's the same as it's ever been. You need a email list, a product, and good affiliate products to promote. Everything else is just a way of driving traffic back to that purpose. Create some services you're good at and rinse and repeat

    Actually the earning should be divided into two section like -
    1. Implement what you have
    2. Develop your position.

    Something like that, I know lots of things. I apply those to earn money but I am not satisfied because I want more time to earn money. So, every time you need to develop yourself to earn more money within this short time easily.

    Time is the only thing stopping me - not that I could earn more if I had more time in a day, but that it takes time to build a successful business that will last.

    I am involved in 3 different niches that are highly competitive - the first year was a learning year, the second year I broke even and this year I expect to make a profit consistently. Once I have done that I will be able to increase my profit as I learn more effective ways to market and as I become a more recognized expert.

    1- Distractions
    2- Focusing on close friends and family a bit much, helping them earn a few extra bucks.

    Yes I have to agree that some people do not have the right mindset. They limit themselves by not having a strong belief that they will succeed. But believing is not the only thing you must take positive affirmative action.

    You have to be prepared to work hard and write out your goals and follow them. If you don't plan you will not achieve.

    I am only at the very beginning of my IM career however from what I have gathered so far and from what I think myself, time and and fear of failure and probably the two biggest things.

    Holding down a full time job then coming home to work on IM (however much we may see it as something we enjoy) is not easy; also, the thought of quitting your job to go full-time with IM scares most people away. What if you fail? What if you can't get another job if your IM career goes to the wall?

    I think that..

    A.Once you have a steady cashflow going people tend to get used to check their stats over morning coffee and spend the rest of the day doing other stuff (aka laziness).

    B.Once you get something working and focus only on that one thing some of the creativity that you had when you had nothing is gone.

    From years of experience (and personal experience) almost anything you do online has an expiry date attached to it. Many "Beginners" who strike gold are not aware of this point and quit their day-job only to discover later on that the foundations for their reasoning was shaky at best.
    Many people are not mentally strong enough to survive a major blow (like a google-slap) and lose their motivation once they see all their hard work gone overnight.

    Constant switching and renewing of strategy/method holds me back from making even more money. Staying to what works is what prevents me from progressing, but I am never content and I always stay proactive to continually search fro the best method.

      I think the only thing that was holding me back was advertising the wrong type of products to the wrong audience of people. But I'm hoping to change that and get better results. Therefore I would say it was the method in which I was trying to do it that was stopping me.
