Bonus with Clickbank purchase?

I would like to entice my customers by offering a free bonus if they choose my affiliate product, just like many others do.

What is the best way to go about this? Is there a plugin or software that automates this?

Of course I would like to grow my list at the same time. I haven't found anything that puts it all together.

Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to rethink your attack plan because I've gone down that road and lost but I've since won big.

You really have to know the product and market and add value. If you automate it, chances are that your 'bonus' will suck and wouldn't be worth it for your customer. Besides that, if you can automate, so can your competition and you won't be ahead for long. If you learn to do Engineer value yourself, you can eventually train and outsource and won't have to do the work but there's no way around learning it first yourself.

Help your customers get the results they want in the easiest fashion possible. Trust me when I say I've learned the hard way that it's just easier to build a real business by giving people true value than it is to automate it and build it on quicksand. It takes the same amount of work in most cases but one lasts a lot longer.

Maybe I should have been more specific on my sales approach. I am doing reviews on CB products so when a hungry buyer is interested in the product already, why not grab a free product with the purchase. At the same time I build my list.

If one person was selling hot dogs and the vendor across the street was selling hots dogs with a free drink, what one would you choose?

"At the same time" is too late, Ryan. In non-IM niches, I have found that offering a bonus of high perceived value can increase conversion and opt-in rates. It actually is a common marketing practice, although it may not be as effective for Clickbank products in the IM niche or at risk categories. I am just starting out with Clickbank products, but it seems to me that it does make sense to offer some sort of bonus/extra incentive. Not to build the list, but to push the buyer off the fence and make the sale.

Putting aside, for now, the strategic question, I have a tactical one: How do I find out who has purchase a product through my hop link? To send a bonus, I suppose I could just ask them to send me their CB receipt number... The more fundamental question for me is how do I add them to my buyers list? I just discovered that the aWeber-Clickback integration app is for sellers only, since CB only shares buyer emails with sellers, and not affiliates.

So how do I move someone from a prospect list to a buyer list?
