Well you have everything set up so great! I hope you invested in aweber or auto responder though which is about $20/month if I remember correctly - you really want to be building your list Your money is in the list (you probably heard this already)

Using free traffic is possible BUT you have to spend a lot of time with free traffic. I personally would suggest the following provided you are not being spammy:

1) Blog commenting
2) Forum marketing
3) Video Marketing

For backlinks and anything that is going to help your stuff rank, I suggest you use fiverr.com to start. Investment always help and as much as free traffic builds your list slowly, it is one of the best ways to build an authority and online presence online

It doesn't matter if it's a blog post, a video, a great presentation on slideshare or an helpful post on a forum. As long as you have those great content (which you can create for free yourself) you can get traffic from all places out there.

I've just been doing Dean Hollands Quick start challenge. He recommends two main methods.

The first is what he calls the 'SigniTraffic' method which quite a few people have mentioned here (ie adding your own signature at the end of each post) and the other is The Blog Hop method which in essence seems to relate to commenting on relevant blog sites that are in the same 'Niche' or related 'Niche' as you.

I don't know much about Facebook and Pinterest but believe that they can also be good sources.

Present your ideas with Powerpoint presentation with text and relevant images and upload it in the slideshare. YOu will get good relevant traffic from this site.
We got good success with slideshare for free traffic.

I am big on SEO but my biggest ways to get immediate traffic are social media, forums and commenting on blogs in my niche. Great for backlinks as well!

There are plenty of traffic source! But traffic of each source has special characteristics. What goes well with Pinterest traffic may not go well with LinkedIn traffic!

What a great question. Free traffic - one of my favourite subjects

The way that has worked best for me has always been to pick one or two simple strategies, and become totally focussed on them until I am a bit of an expert. That sounds a bit grand, but most people seem to spread themselves far too thinly when it comes to marketing, and try to do everything. So they never really do anything for long enough to become good at it.

If things are not working then I always just go back to the basics and simplify things.

What I would do first would be to pick three traffic methods that I like doing. These for me would probably be blogging, podcasting, social media updates when I posted a new blog post (Twitter, FB etc) and the occasional solo ad to my squeeze page free offer. Nothing elae - keep it simple...

Then I would devise a Plan of what I was going to do EVERY DAY - how often I would post and how often I would podcast. I might end up doing one podcast a week, three high value content blog posts and the occasional video post on my blog as well.

For me, blogging is always a must, as it provides a hub for you to drive traffic to. Also this is where you build up trust with people, and engage with them. I always try to help where I can, and this attitude helps to build that trust.

Free traffic will always be a longer process than paid as you know, because you are using your time resource rather than money. But the quality of the traffic is 100 times better if you do it properly.

Imagine paying $450 for 1000 clicks with a solo ad. None of these people knows who you are and 60% of them won't even open your email. But if you engage with 5 people on a forum and talk to them, show them what you do and how you can help them, you will have 5 high-quality leads who know you, like you and trust you. Will they be more likely to buy your product than the 400 strangers who happened to read your email? I think so.

So don't dismiss free traffic as inferior to paid, I think it is much better. But it takes more work.

My tip would be to pick two methods and work at them daily,consistently and relentlessly for 6 months. By the end of that time you will be in a very different position. You will have a large list, you will be an expert in three areas of marketing and you will be known in the industry. You will also be earning a decent income beyond you imaginings.

They really work. I think these two methods are enough to generate instant traffic to your website.

I thin my best traffic source have been forum traffic and paid PPC, FB ads. I try to make a budget for the paid traffic, so it is worth the traffic. I think, with ongoing SEO work you can also rank high for profitable keywords and get quality search engine traffic.
