How do you build trust in a prospect?

How are you warriors building trust in prospects as an author/creator/etc?

I'm in an artistic niche that's hard to break down into numbers like "earn x dollars in y days" and I'm finding it hard to really build up solid trust. I got a moderate number of testimonials (still building more). Have videos of me practicing what I preach with good results. Trying to find some other ways to build trust. Screenshots won't work and I don't have any affiliates yet.

Do people generally check into your product on other webpages or do they tend to only read your salespage? Personally, I check everything out on 1 or 2 other pages before making a purchase (but I'm not sure if that's just me or not).

So do satellite websites work? And if they do, would it be a good idea to act as your own affiliate and build a site that promotes yourself? I got one that's SEO optimized, but not really designed to build trust.

Video testimonials work well. Endorsements, if they are from a well-known person or organization in your field. Showing that your work has appeared someplace well known ('as seen on...')

The reason that you see "I earned X amount of dollars in Y days" is because that is what IMers who are buying IM product want to learn.

They want to learn how to make money.

So what you need to do is figure out what does your market or niche or customer want? What problems do they want solved? What questions do they want answered?

Also, those phrases that say, "I earned X amount of dollars in Y days" are not the phrases that build trust. Those phrase elicit interest and capture attention.

    Testimonials can build trust
Stories can create trust. that's why you see alot of "I started out poor but became successful stories"

Well affiliates don't build trust. Affiliates are there to sell your product.

One thing that you can do is to give away a free product. A part of giving away that free product is to show your customers that you know what you are talking about.

Showing them that you know what you are talking about will build trust
Showing them that you can actually solve their problems can build trust.
Showing them that you are on their side and looking out for their best interests can build trust
Showing them that you understand them, their situation, and their problems can build trust?

This is one of those questions where the answer is yes some do, and some don't.

You could try it, but just realize that if your customers were to ever find out you would then lose all that trust you were attempting to build.

For author, you can show snippet of your ebook or work.
Example, you sell ebook that contains 13 chapter, give them free look for 3 chapter. People will trust your credibility when they read your free chapter.

Building trust is a combined effect of many ingredients-

    Personal ingredients-
    1. No of posts.
    2. No of thanks.
    3. The value of the previous posts
    4. Providing value info in sig link. Not just a squeeze page.

    Social Ingredients-
    1. Helping other warriors when asked. I know some very busy warriors. But whenever I send them a message or pm, they reply.
    2. Telling the truth. Today or tomorrow the truth is revealed. You either build trust or lose it.

    Testimonials-

    1. Video testimonials from other senior members. The real ones. Not just bought from some sad ass desperate fiverr.
    2. Text based testimonials.

    Proofs-
    1. Publishing paypal/bank account status or commission cheques snapshot(but this method is overused and gone really bad these days).
    2. Publishing email list snap shot.

It takes time to build trust when you are alone. It's easy when you belong to groups.

If you have testimonials, use them. There is no particular number that will confirm your success of using testimonials. Even one testimonial is enough if you method really works. Pay people and buy testimonials and still you run into the risk of losing your business if you method doesn't work as you said. So, if you are confident that your method is solid, go ahead, rush into the market and sell it.

Satelite Websites and SEO works when you are already using a reference from another authority. Example: Amazon review sites. You don't need to trust what the review site is saying. Because when you click the links, it's leading you to an authority site that's 100% trustworthy - Amazon dot com. Isn't it. Personally, I wouldn't buy from a site that I've just discovered from search engines if no one I know ever talked about it.

Another example: Groupon. There are so many other daily deal sites. I don't trust all of them just like that. But I trust groupon because it has made it's authority position in daily deals market for so many years and everybody is talking about it.

    Got it?

    Hope this helps.

You know what I do to build trust ... be REAL.

In an online world where everyone is trying to push hyped up products and make false or misleading claims, those who just keep it real tend to shine through.

Tell it to people how it is. Be real. Be genuine. Concentrate on giving rather than receiving.

All of these things will help you build up trust.

Be authentic and offer value before asking for something.

We've all had those moments where we find a site we hadn't stumbled on before. Sometimes it provides the EXACT answer to a burning question we had precisely when we need it most. Sometimes it's amazing content and grabs us right away when we didn't necessarily expect it.

Create that experience in your audience and it's a strong segue into building trust.

If you're asking how you build trust, you're probably destined to fail at building trust. To me it's like you're asking how to get them to trust you so you can sell products to them.

Look at someone like Joe Rogan's podcast or something. He does a free 2-3 hour podcast with the only commercials being at the very beginning. And his commercials are pitches that he makes himself that actually sound like he likes the products. He even says he only advertises stuff that he believes in..and you can tell he does because he talks about it in random situations.

I would be that his advertisers get very good responses.
