Tracking Commission From Leads

Hello All,

I have high quality leads for a specific industry ready to sell.

I want to be paid a certain % from the total transaction amount generated from my leads.

What is the best way to track the final transaction amount to know that I am being paid the fair % for what my lead has brought in?

Thanks.

I currently work for a tech startup company in the deathcare industry, and one of my ideas was to create a "marketplace" of leads where funeral directors & insurance agents can login and purchase leads that are generated via my website via the marketplace.

I was thinking of creating a model where the funeral director would sign up as a member (recurring monthly revenue), purchase the lead (one time fee), and where I would also receive a % of the final gross revenue generated from that lead (from the funeral service or the amount purchased in insurance/trust).

This is where I am seeking your help.

How would I be able to track what the final transaction cost is for the funeral service/trust/insurance so I can be paid a fair percentage on the gross revenue my lead has brought in for that funeral director/insurance agent?

    Thank you for your time.

Do you really think this business model will work

I have been involved with a few loved ones deaths and I can tell you that when the loved one passed we never considered getting online and looking for a service to help us find the funeral director of our dreams.

Usually this is taken care of within an hour of the loved one passing and I can tell you that if one of my loved ones passed and I started getting sales calls from funeral homes I would be pissed.

      But, good luck

That is a valid point and I appreciate your feedback.

I am targeting "pre-planners" in my model, which is why I mentioned insurance agents as well as funeral directors in my post. My service is for people are who want to plan their funeral ahead of time.

Once the business owner purchases the lead you should not be entitled for profit from that lead. What makes you feel justified for profiting after selling them the lead. That is the whole reason they are buying the lead. They are taking a risk and should walk away with 100% profit.
