Should us bloggers always add tags to our posts as well as adding to categories?

Hey everyone, I have not been using tags for my posts but I put them into categories. Should I be adding tags anyway? Does it benefit SEO?

I do use (All in one SEO) for my meta tags and description.

What do you think?

    Use tags. I'd recommend WordPress SEO plugin to fully optimise your posts.

    Hi, there are a lot of opinions on this topic but I always add a couple tags each post. I constantly see some of my tags ranking in search results. So it seems Google likes it. Just make sure the tags are relevant to the blog post. Don't just throw them up for the sake of SEO.
