It depends how big your files are. Just drag the whole lot into the bucket you want and then let it run in the background. Just like you would with any FTP program.

I've been using it for years and it's by far the best solution I have found. It's just like an FTP program for your Amazon S3.

I use S3 Browser - S3 Browser - Amazon S3 Client for Windows. User Interface for Amazon S3. S3 Bucket Explorer.. There is a free download and also a Pro version for $29.95. As far as I remember the Pro version gives you more threads, has no limits and a few other extras - I went for that and haven't looked back, most of the video uploads that I send to Amazon are 100-500mb. Try out the free download to see if it's suitable for you. Speedwise, it runs slightly faster that Filezilla.

There is also an S3 plugin for Firefox but truthfully I would second Will's recommendation for the free version of Cloudberry - I've used it for years and it's awesome, both for uploading and setting permissions correctly.

As for the speed it's just like any other file transfer, I suspect that your limiting factor is your upload speed on your personal Internet connection as some of them are very slow. Not sure about your connection in Malaysia but here I have a 60 MBPS download but my upload is only 12 MBPS and that's actually considered to be "fast"!

A site like Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test can let you measure your upload speed.
