Help - How can I promote my article directory

Would you guys give me some idea on how to promote my directory to get more author submitting their articles?

    Have you tried article marketing

    Alternatively, sign up for services such as iSnare's distribution and ArticleMarketer.com - that will get you articles in.

      Hi Ryan,

      I noticed that your author guidelines are strikingly similiar to the editorial guidelines for EZA, word for word in many cases.

      Would probably be best if you reword the guidelines.

          As an article directory owner, I can tell you content will do loads for getting the search engines on your site, and bringing traffic.

          It looks like your using the article friend script, I think they offer a submission script to accept auto sub's from Article Marketer and Isnare.

          Look into that just to get your directory off the ground, or try scriptlance if your directory is something other. Either way, auto submissions are a good way to start.

            I don't think he needs to change his TOS/Rules. If he wants the same rules as EZA, why can't he have them?

            Anyhow, make sure you don't just accept all those articles from isnare or articlemarketer. There is always some really bad content getting through, so make sure you proof every single one of them and don';t let any crap get through.

              This is a custom script which has been developed by my in-house programmer. I think he is awesome programmer I have ever had before

              @Allen: I have read your AM Handbook, it is very useful, indepth research. It helps me a lot in developing my article marketing campaigns.

              YES, I would not accept all articles as your recommend. My question is should I check one by one article through copyscape and accept only unique article? or we can accept all quality articles althrough they have been submitted to somewhere else?

                Article directory ownership is an extremely competitive environment, but we do stand firmly together on several things...especially our strict guidelines. In fact, our guidelines are the one thing that we can all basically agree on.

                I don't think Chris would have a problem with it, and if he did, he would let Ryan know.

    The articles from Article Marketer are proof read B4 they are submitted to the directories.

    As I am sure many members of this very forum use them I imagine they would be quite offended by calling them all "crap".

    The articles from Isnare will need a little more looking over.

    You will have to edit everything that comes through regardless- auto submitted or not.

    Your first members will be a lot of spammers, goes with the territory.

    The articles from AM are no worse than a lot of the PLR stuff you find anywhere else.

    Not trying to convince the posters here otherwise, just for anyone else reading along.

    To each his own, good luck with your directory!

    You might want to write some articles about the benefits of submitting to article directories. Then include the link to your directory in your resource section at the bottom of your article.

      I don't care if I offend anyone. If they write crap articles, I will call them crap articles.

      If they write good articles, then I will say they're good.

      Article Marketer has some OK articles. But upwards of 50% of them are crap. At least, the ones they sent to me were...before I cancelled the service.
