Warrior advice required

Hi all,

I was just wanting some advice/tips or a shove in the right direction on my blog here. I have had it online for about 5 months. I'm always trying to improve on seo, theme and of course monetize.

Any feedback is much appreciated

Speaking as a writer and proofreader, you really need to improve on your grammar and punctuation. You barely use punctuation so it becomes hard to read the content. I only looked at the home page. I will let others offer their opinions as to other aspects of it.

I kinda like the site though it is extremely busy on the homepage and although I get the theme of the site is doing that it kinda looks untidy and unorgansied. The punctuation is something that's kind of important, it just makes it easier for the reader to know when to pause and take a breath. Sentences aren't meant to go on and on forever so read it back to yourself and when you find yourself stopping or pausing, slip in a simple comma.

I think you could probably expand on some of the pages and maybe monetize it more than you have with some simple google adsense. Such as your checklist page, you could insert some ads part way through the page linked to the content displayed.

I also noticed you weren't collecting any emails addresses through an autoresponder? Is there any reason for this?

Also, if you are using WordPress which I assume you are, you should check out something like pretty link so that you can use a url redirect which doesn't display your affiliate ID's or links that people may be curios about clicking. You could turn an ugly affiliate link in to yoursite.com/affiliatesite-redirect or something like that. It looks better.

Hope these suggestions help you out a little. Good luck with it. Nice idea.

    Best wishes.

      1) Your "The wedding Dress" page needs sorting out, some stuff is centered when it shouldn't be, the bullet points have massive gaps inbetween them, sort that out.

      2) I just got engaged on facebook on the right hand side leaves the white box it is in, needs looking at.

      3) You have 2 social media addons in one post? Why not get the social media bar which scorlls with the page?

      4) Gaps inbetween paragraphs... The page needs to be broken up, punctuation as mentioned above.

      5) Get rid of the social media icons on the home page. (Test and see what happens here.)

      6) Spacing issue on advertisements down the right hand side, left border is smaller then the right.

      7) Your about us page is weak, put a proper page up, put a bit of effort into it...

      8) Privacy policy doesn't need comments turned on.

Just my couple of thoughts which I would change about the site if I was running it.

At index page, every post height are not the same. Some long some short. If possible put the same height, it'll look more professional.

Lead your viewers in the right direction. I just started clicking anywhere on the site, hopelessly looking around. You should redesign your site in a way where there is an obvious action that you want them to take... whether that's buy your book, buy an affiliate product, adsense, or lead them to a squeeze page to follow up on.

The site already looks like pinterest. As this is a blog site, you should go for soem blog theme which will suite for your site. Also, keep your eyes on Grammar too.

I would try to tighten things up a bit. There seems to be some needless spaces
near the bottom that make things look a little out of place, like the site has
an error or something. First impression is the last impression.
Remember that and you'll be in good shape

  • I would suggest using a different theme. The theme that you are using right now is not that appealing to the eye. The boxes are cluttered and seems out of range, there are no category navigational bar, and try and improve the grammar a little bit. Don't get me wrong though, you're making good progress, however, things need to be fine-tuned in a bit in order to provide an excellent blog that visitors will take time to read.
