aweber email parser not working?

If I'm posting this in the wrong forum, I apologize. This is a potentially important industry announcement, so I'm posting it here.

Is anybody having trouble with aweber's email parser? Prior to yesterday it was working fine. Now 2/3 of my contacts are going into unverified land. I have it integrated with Nanacast. Before yesterday it worked beautifully. Nothing has been changed on my end or Nanacast's end.

I'm not asking for a solution. I've submitted the question directly to aweber. My only question is, are any Warriors having a similar problem?

I haven't been having any trouble on my end and mine is fairly active everyday. Could be that the issue is limited to specific blocks of accounts? Have you tried to contact Aweber customer support? Everytime I get in touch they are pretty responsive.

It's not an Aweber parser issue. From what I have experienced the last few days and from what I have heard others saying, it is an Aweber problem fullstop.

These people better get their stuff sorted out quick smart or a lot of people (including myself) will be jumping ship. It's just not good enough.

Regardless of what aweber does, I'm already setting up accounts with other services. Actually, I've also been using getresponse for a few years too. I haven't had this problem with them.

The emails went into aweber, they just aren't verified. As long as they flip the switch and activate them, I won't hold any permanent grudges. Problems happen & they've been fairly reliable in the past.

It's still good to have multiple autoresponder accounts and build redundant lists. This way your most active contacts will be on various lists on different services.

Constant Contact screwed me big about 2 years ago & I lost a 20,000 list. They all opted in (single opt-in). CC decided that I could only send one email and ask for double opt-in. The list went from 22,000 to 2,000. It really was a drag having to rely on a single email to preserve the list.

Most autoresponder services require confirmation opt-in to import a list, you you're pretty much screwed if a service messes with you. Even with a backup, you'll lose out.

Yeah, Aweber are having some technical difficulties at the moment. Not much we can do about it. :/

Actually I've had tons of problems with php autoresponder scripts. Plenty of ISPs will ban you in a heartbeat. The aervices like aweber, getresponse, icontact, etc...bypass these restrictions.

  • I got my support ticket back from aweber. They confessed that it's a problem on their end. They are working around the clock to fix it. They assure me that they'll have it solved soon.

At this point, I'm happy with that response. I'm not happy that my promotion was screwed up. I understand that things happen in the real world despite the best preparations. I'm hanging tight for now & keeping my fingers crossed that it's fixed soon.

It's a reminder to use other autoresponder services as well.
