Has anyone else received these SKYPE chats that automatically start asking you to download a virus and it contains a number of Warriors names? This has happened a couple times and I'm wondering if someone is using the SKYPE contact on the forum to do this. -Ray Edwards |

Change your options to only allow contacts to send you anything or to contact you. You then have to approve them manually

something like that and claimed to be a Warrior. After the first chat and I got the virus chat later on and I removed that contact but still got the automatic chat starts. -Ray Edwards

Removing someone from your contacts does NOT remove your id from theirs. They can still contact you, UNLESS you go the extra step and BAN their id, THEN you won't get any more contact from that person. - Terry |

Yep that is right. You really should block that contact. I'm wondering now if it has anything to do with skype crashing more often lately? It doesn't use to do that before but lately I've seen it crash more often.

Do you have the latest version? I had problems with skype not shutting down properly but after I updated to the current version I don't have that problem. My skype has not crashed in a very long time. - Terry

start with a fake JPEG(.scr) to download. And then follows a warning from from other Warrior names saying not to download--it seems all automated. I've made some option changes so I'll see if it happens again. -Ray Edwards

Ray, You may still be signed in to a group chat and that's why you're seeing messages from other people. Make sure you physically leave any open conversations. John |

Hmm... this is interesting timing. I've been using Skype without incident for well over a year now and for the last handful of weeks it's been kind of 'quirky' where it was smooth as silk before.

Yeah I agree with that. If i need to not get bothered from someone then I don't remove him but ban him or block him. That works better than removing him altogether. |

Ray, Open Skype admin window Switch to "Conversations" window on left of Skype admin panel. Look for "daisy wheel" icon with multiple names in list/history of conversations and select that conversation. On top tabs.. select "Conversation" drop down menu and then click "Leave Conversation" John |

but I found the "leave conversation" tab and hopefully this should get rid of this annoyance. Thanks! -Ray Edwards
