What are the best sites to post articles and blogs...

I am trying to build traffic to my website through writing content. Even though I publish my content on my personal website and hub pages. What are some other great places to publish articles that'll help drive in traffic?

Well if you have particular interests. I would find large popular forums and start great informative threads that provide value to the forum and it's visitors. Then maybe just put your link in your signature if it is allowed. Most forums allow that at most. Just don't link, advertise, cloak an offer, or downright spam on the boards, and also make sure you are putting content out that is of great quality. Your being involved at a popular forum will drive traffic to you.

I like this simple approach myself. There is a ton of good information on this forum. I come here for the same reasons. To hopefully contribute. Posting good articles and blogs here will certainly help

Ezine Articles is an obvious and huge one. I recommend it mostly because it gets ranked so quickly. Squidoo can work as well but it's a bit shaky (i.e. don't put all your eggs into it's basket).

Find more baskets for your eggs. Within any given viable niche, there are perhaps hundreds or even hundreds of thousands of possible outlets for publication of your articles. Consider writing for niche blogs, ezines, newsletters, and offline magazines and newspapers. Wide distribution in front of targeted eyeballs could bring in an avalanche of highly convertible traffic.

Ezines, magazines, newsletters, niche sites, niche blogs and other places that already have the exact targeted traffic you want to attract to your site. In other words, anywhere relevant. (In other words, the places depend on the niche). The more widely you can get your articles published in relevant places, the more targeted traffic you'll get with them.

It's a very out-of-date and strange mixture of article directories, other sites, and some which are completely useless in this context (Buzzle, for example, allows no external links at all, not even in a "resource-box"). Some permit syndication of articles; others don't, etc. etc. None is a "relevant site", which is what the OP needs. Sorry to be so blunt, and I do appreciate that you intended it helpfully, but it's honestly unhelpful.

It's precisely because some people still try to use lists like this that there are so many threads here with titles like "Is Article Marketing Dead?", and so many people who mistakenly imagine that it is.

Ezine articles is the best. Are you trying to get traffic to your site or to a squeeze page to build your list?

If you want to draw (not "drive") traffic using content, you need a two-pronged approach.

Passive: You post your content on sites designed to allow republication of your content. For me, the ultimate is locating an EZA-like directory that focuses tightly on my niche market. There aren't a lot of these, and they can be hard to find, and you may have to pay to join them, but they work wonders. Second best is EZA. There is no third.

Active: Read Paul's (myob) list above. You want to build your own private distribution list of publishers, bloggers and site owners who will trade a bit of their audience's attention and a link to your landing page for high quality content they don't have to create themselves or pay cash for. Even a couple of dozen publishers who regularly use your stuff can provide all the targeted traffic you might need, depending on your business model.

Pay close attention, OP, to the advice given above pertaining to publishers. You don't always have to start at drawing visitors to YOUR site to view your articles and thus convert further. YOU are a writer. So write. Let someone who already has visitors to put your content in front of, do it. Then the magic is in the link back to you. Traffic problem solved. People charge for advice like that OP. Take it and RUN!!!

Two obvious, and quick and dirty ways to find the relevant sites are to use Google and Alexa. Look at the search results for your niche topic, contact the top ranking blogs and sites listed about guest posting. Do a search in Alexa of the most popular forums bearing on the niche, and post there.

Seek out websites in the same niche (or as close as possible to yours).

Start building a rapport with the site owner, and offer to provide them with quality content.

The more sites you can find to do that with the better, because you'll be building your own group of syndication sites. And they will be invaluable to you.

In 2013, getting your content syndicated will be more important than ever before.

Why not put it in your own website? Adding unique content again and again on your website based in the taste of your visitors will give you an effective SERP for your website..!

Try to find high authority sites that are relevant to your particular niche. Generic sites now seem to provide limited value which is why many are looking into guest posting. Choose relevant sites that have a SEOMoz domain authority of at least 30+, write compelling and engaging relevant content and you will see the benefits.

    Thomas,

If you are in the internet marketing niche than I do recommend the
warrior forum's article section. The nice thing about it is that as soon as you add an article, if you wait 5-10 minutes, you will see your article on page 1 of Google.

    They get indexed pretty fast.

    Articles

Just make sure that you write great content.

There is a fee of $60 per year but it is all worth it.
