Jing disappearing from desktop

Hey fellow Warriors,

I hope this isn't too trivial to make a thread about, but I have an annoying problem and no idea why it keeps happening.

Jing is great for screen captures of both still shots and videos, but for some reason, the sun keeps going away for me, and then I have to reinstall the program to get it back. It sticks around for a little while, but sometimes it goes away less than 24 hours after installing.

Any insight into why this happens and what I can do about it, would be greatly appreciated; thanks in advance to anyone that helps!

    Hi Greg:

    Under the "More" ray/tab on the Sun, and under Preferences and Start Up, did you click on "Hide the Sun?" I hid mine because it was always in the way of a scroll bar or some other function I needed. Then it will only show up in the bottom system/menu tray. I'm not sure if that helps or not but I hope it does.

    Also, if you have the Pro version, it is going away in February I believe.

      Thanks, but unfortunately that isn't the problem; for example, I took screenshots yesterday while the sun was there; it was there for at least a few hours. Then today, when I turned the computer on, it was gone again; this happens a lot, and seems to be random; sometimes it stays for days, others, just hours.
