Hi all, I am an American with a US paypal account. I am in Asia for some business, and need to log in to my US paypal account. Is there anyway I can login from Asia but in Paypal's eyes, I am logging in from US? I am afraid because I heard they will limit accounts logged in from overseas. Thanks for your advice..

This is a serious issue Ra one, to the best of my knwlegde, i would like to tell you to avoid using proxies (even the paid version of hotspot shield)of any sort as paypal will Goe track you loging stuffs and detect you real ip you are using ( these one of the problems we faced from non accepted country). If you will follow my advise it would be better if you can contact paypal directly from where you are and let them know your situation, in fact you will need to back your report with necessary document like drivers licence or any similar US government issue card so as to look genuine, with this you will be require to provide one ip adress you will be using to loging to your account from there pending the time you will move back to US ( this is the method used by me and my friends in order to open verified paypal account from non accepted country or oversea). Hope this help

I am American and have a US PP account and never have a problem logging in from Japan. Unless you're in North Korea or something, I would just log in as usual. If PP doesn't let you then contact them and tell them what's up. Shouldn't be a problem as long as you can prove who you are.

I wouldn't try to use a proxy or anything like that. Makes it seem like you're doing something wrong when you're not.

Trying to deceive them about your location is hardly the solution to your situation.

How do you feel, yourself, about doing business with people who try to deceive you?

Under these circumstances (which have arisen quite often for me), I've always contacted them beforehand, explaining the situation and asking them to be kind enough to acknowledge it with an email. Of course I can't promise it'll work for you, but I've never had a problem with it, myself. They do understand that people can travel. They just like to know in advance that specific logins from "unexpected countries" aren't a sign of anything illicit or problematic.

I find it reassuring that they're so security-conscious about my funds.
