Any recommendations on where to buy a "cartoon" video for my sales page?

I'm looking to have a 10 - 15 minute video created for one of my sales pages.

I've created the script and an outline and now I'm just looking for a reference for a company to hire for this job.

I'm not sure what this type of animation is called, but I want it to look like this:

I did Google it and found a bunch of companies but I prefer to work with companies who come recommended.

Has anyone here had a video like this created?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Anton

    Hi...

I would head to Fiverr.com. I have had very good success hiring people there to create decent enough videos of various formats (ie. cartoon, puppets, people, etc).

You may have to purchase multiple gigs in order to get the quality and/or duration that you want, but it can be worth it. Be sure to check feedback, although sometimes those can be misleading.

    Much Success,

You could easily find someone by posting a free ad on Freelancer or looking at fiverr (10-15min will cost more than $5 though)

Another option is finding someone local through craigslist

    • The type of video you are looking for might cost up to $30,000 per minute man.

Ive been in the video world for a while now and they charge some ridiculous prices.

Fiverr videos ... well... there are some that offer some sort of animation, but compared to the quality you showed on your youtube sample, they dont even match to1% of that.

The only video service on fiverr that is any good is this: Redfixcorp will create a custom animated sales video for your product, service, business for $5, only on fiverr.com

but its $750 per minute without even a script or voice over.

      .

If you want something more affordable, my suggestion is to get an actor to record one for you, because anymation of that quality costs money.

I worked in the same office with the guy who did custom motion graphics for TV stations in Spain, hes done beefeater and many big companies and its always costly.

You should post this at the "I am looking for someone who will......" section. Hopefully, you will get response from there. Most of the people will suggest you fiverr because it can provide you this service in a very cheap price.

Fiverr has made everything cheap. Head over there and you will get someone that will do it for 5 bulk.

I'm actually very much looking for the same, hope to read some good suggestions here.
fiverr is not the answer to this and I hope people stop suggesting it in this thread- fiverr is great and all, but for $5 the videos you get are very basic templates (which is ok, it's only $5) but you can't really get a quality animated video.
So far I've found this site Startup Videos | Showcasing The Best Startup Videos which features the latest videos in the industry, plus has lot's of service providers, but again, it's not that cheap..

I'm getting a lot of 'goanimate' recommendations, aren't there any copyright issues with their videos once you cancel your subscription?

Yes, there are issues, and good for you for realizing that! When you read the TOS, it's plain to see that Go Animate is the absolute WORST option for business-related videos.

Gail, thanks for your comment, is there any other service at around that budget that you could recommend?

The video at the beginning of the thread, and the ones you noted in your post, are expensive because they are true animation, with lots of precise movements, customized characters, etc.

If you have the budget for them, great! But if you don't have the budget, you will need to adjust your expectations and settle for less animation, fewer effects, etc. Also, the length of the video will greatly affect the cost.

You can look on Videohive.net (After Effects video templates) to see if there is anything that could be adapted to your business, then hire someone to alter the template and do the voiceover. Budget: $150-$500

Xtranormal has some fun animated characters. If you pay, you can use the video forever (unlike GoAnimate). A skilled person can get some interesting movement from this software. I'd suggest using a real person to do the voices, not the robo-voices provided by the service. Budget: $150-$700

Whiteboard videos are the latest rage. Everyone is doing them, but very few people are doing them well. Don't expect to get quality on Fiverr. Quality takes TIME, and you can't crank out a decent video in 10 minutes. If you make them yourself with Sparkol, and outsource the voiceover, you can save a lot of money. Otherwise, expect to pay $500+.

Yes. Once you cancel the videos need to come down. Quite an issue really

I agree on Fiverr, I think it's great to find very capable artistic people.

All of the people recommending Fiverr apparently have no idea what it takes to create a video like that from scratch. The guys selling the "animation" video gigs at Fiverr create short video intros that move text and generic shapes/images around the screen (which only takes a few minutes to do using AfterEffects templates).

But I guarantee you that no one at Fiverr creates broadcast-quality animated cartoons from scratch (like the Esurance commercial)!

To have a video of that type and quality created from scratch, you're looking at a minimum of $1,000 per video minute (and that's on the low end -- I bet Esurance paid a LOT more than that for their video)! So a 10-15 minute video like that could very easily run you 5 figures.

If you want personal recommendations, why not contact the companies who use videos like that and ask them for referrals?

It's been said here before, fiverr is great for this kind of work. Check the Ratings before you buy though....make sure they have a decent rating.

I have a lot of experience in television production, including producing segments of the U.S. Olympic Trials for Universal Sports. When you go to my site you will clearly see me on set with ESPN sports, the first ever 3d telecast!

Yes I do understand the quality needed to reach the Esurance commercial.

I just had an A-List copywriter out of Chicago create a well-received ad for me for $50 on fiverr. I was shocked he was on Fiverr, but he was there to sharpen his skills.

Yes you have a lot of people using A/E templates, but you never know who is out there.

    Good hunting.

Hey man, im sure you got tons of people messaging you and stuff like that. I posted an ad in the classifieds section not too long ago for a doodle video and got tons of offers. The company I chose is run by 2 guys who are awesome to work with and have affordable rates.

I'm not sure if they do cartoon animations but I know they do very good doodle videos. Here's a link to his sales page but I would suggest messaging him to see if he can help you out. Here's the link:
