- Just give free hosting to other via forum like here or other forum
- It easy to get 10 or more user quickly and than they will build website or blog
- User will drive traffic to their website or blog
- This is will build traffic and Page rank for my reseller hosting too

- or place banner/adsense etc to monetyze

How much would such a site earn per month if you decide to keep it and not flip it?

How many users did you have when the site was getting over 10k visitors a month?

In my experience:
- I made around $50 for first month
- My site getting over 10K visitor with less than 100 user

God, this is such a bad strategy, even thought it makes money. What about all of those customers who thought they were finally getting a decent free service? Nope, just being duped into a failing service because 90% of the people leave when free hosts are sold.

My advice, if you want to dive into hosting, do it the right way and make a business out of it. Don't fool around with peoples stuff just to make a quick buck.

It's pretty unethical to give a service to someone on false pretenses when you know you're just going to dump it in a few weeks/months.

It's a fabulous idea, as the people who utilize the free hosting provide the value and traffic needed to justify the flip price. You don't even have to make earnings claims (the main thing that requires a site to be seasoned or old enough to get a high price), and that's huge! It's like you finally solved all the Flippa resale problems in one trick!

As for the users being "deceived," you could inform each party from jump that you may be flipping the site soon. Many people choose a free trial of hosting anyway, knowing it's just temporary, just to get started with their site. So most shouldn't mind getting only a short term freebie hosting deal.

The price will follow and you can sell with more bigger price
